My middle son has woken up ill so no school for him today. 🥵

He is presenting with the classic homeopathic Belladonna picture and his symptoms include:

👉Sudden onset fever
👉Throbbing headache
👉Hot red cheeks
👉Glistening eyes
👉Thirstlessness

So I have given him a dose of Belladonna and will see how he gets on in the next few hours. I will stick with the same remedy at least for a few doses, but if his symptom picture changes so will the remedy.

Also I will ensure plenty of sips of fluids and lots of rest!

So thankful to have these remedies on hand when my children are ill. I honestly don’t know how people get by day to day without Homeopathy in their lives 😅

Popping on to say hi and introduce myself to any new followers and farewell to any followers I have lost since I last posted in June 👋🤣 And thank you to anyone who has stuck around.

I’m Helen, a Registered Homeopath with over 12 years experience and I’ve been personally using Homeopathy for nearly 20 years too. 🙏

Ever since I discovered it myself, I love helping others with this deep acting yet gentle medicine. It’s one of the only true modalities which treats the root cause of why you are out of balance. 🌱

It’s mostly (but not only) women that come to see me for a variety of issues such as hormone imbalance, post partum recovery, gut issues, anxiety, irregular periods etc. ☺️

A little about me 👇

I’m married and mum to 3 boys and a Cockapoo called Rory 🐕

My kids have grown up with homeopathy for acute illnesses from since they were babies plus more constitutional stuff too. 👌

I turned 45 last week and recently learned I have a whole 5 planets in Virgo which is quite rare! ♍️

I love tea, especially jasmine but recently started drinking (nice quality) coffee again after almost 20 years of not drinking it. 🍵

I prefer a cosy night in to a night out but do sometimes get FOMO. 💃

I don’t really like posting on social media too much, honestly I feel like it takes away time from what I actually want to do which is help people! So if I you don’t see me post for a while it’s likely that I just don’t have the time or energy for social media but am still working in the background.👩‍💻

Remedies for sunburn 🥵

A couple of weeks ago I got sunburnt badly, I had forgotten to bring my (natural) suncream with me. I thought I was in the shade but turns out it wasn’t shady enough!

A good lesson for a Celtic skinned red head to always leave the house prepared. 🫡

It also gives me the opportunity to share my top 4 remedies which are good for sunburn, so I hope this is helpful for anyone else that may get caught short like me…!

So thankful that once again homeopathy can help in a minor acute situation like this.

4 remedies for sunburn ⤵️

Cantharis - No 1 remedy for burns of any kind. Intense burning sensation which is better for cold applications.

Belladonna - Think red, hot & throbbing sensation, if you have these symptoms this remedy will help. Sunstroke w/ dilated pupils. Worse for heat & motion & better for being lightly covered. This rx really took the edge of the sunburn off for me!

Causticum - Sunburn feels raw & sore, may blister and makes you feel melancholy & restless. Feels worse at night and better for cold drinks.

Sol - This one will be coming to Spain with me in the summer. I plan on taking some before sun exposure (along with using my non toxic suncream). It is also great to take after sun exposure to mitigate effects of too much sun. If sunburn is more intense I’d go for one of the above remedies.

I also liberally applied organic aloe vera post sun exposure which helped greatly. It’s important to stay hydrated and seek medical help if the burn is very severe.

Three common myths in the healing space ⤵️

Are any of these familiar to you?

Myth 1. You need expensive tests 🙅‍♀️
👉If I had a £1 for every time someone said to me they had various blood tests and they came back normal BUT they still feel terrible. 🫠 Your body is AlWAYS speaking to you through symptoms, energy levels, your skin, bowel movements, your sleep, overall mood etc. In Homeopathy this is what we look at. You don’t need a diagnosis or to have had various tests to have homeopathic treatment, we look at your full medical history and what messages your body is sending you body, mind & soul and the way you uniquely experience the world.

Myth 2. You need a specialist for each different condition 🙅‍♀️
👉Not in Homeopathy - we look at you as a WHOLE. Got irregular periods, headaches, anxiety & dry skin? We look at all of this. We have been conditioned to believe that we need to see a different expert for every ailment. But we are one body, mind and soul and should be treated as such for deep healing to take place. Homeopathy takes all of you in to account. Now don’t get me wrong there is definitely a time for specialists - if I put my back out I’m going to see a chiropractor 💪 and I’ll also incorporate Homeopathics and exercises to help me heal.

Myth 3. Only pharmaceuticals can heal 🙅‍♀️
👉Yep I’m going there. Of course there is a time and place for pharmaceuticals no one is arguing otherwise here. 💁🏽‍♀️ But if I want to feel healthy and vibrant there are plenty of natural and complementary options including nutrition, homeopathy, kinesiology etc. Again lots of women come to see me saying they have tried everything the doctor prescribed and they are not getting better. This is what happened to me in my 20’s and ultimately led me to finding Homeopathy. Real healing is finding the ROOT CAUSE of an imbalance not medicating over it with pharmaceuticals that have a whole host of side effects and can lead to more issues down the line…speaking from both personal and client experience here.

It is a resounding heck yes! 🙌

This topic came up yesterday at a business event with regards to what stops people showing up online. And one of the things was self doubt and feeling like it had to be picture perfect.

Can you guess the first homeopathic remedy I was prescribed (almost 20 years ago 😬) that ultimately led me to becoming a Homeopath?
