🐷 😁 HAPPY AS A PIG IN MUD 🤣🐷
Well I’m not sure ‘happy’ is exactly the word, but you’ve got to admire the resilience of this 500 year old house (and possibly it’s residents 😉). We’re not looking too shabby considering we were two feet under water on Friday morning and under a thick layer of mud inside and out when the water subsided.
A few weeks of mud clearing to go but feeling positive and motivated 😁.
Things to be grateful for:
🐷 The help, support and love from our friends & community ❤️
🐷James, who got a day’s grace after his yoga retreat before the full force of nature came to test his inner calm. Best teammate ever!
🐷 A house you can hose down on the inside as well as the outside. (I know I’m weird, but you wouldn’t believe how much joy I got from that)
🐷 Our flood resilience measures did their job. The pumps are awesome!
🐷 Lessons learned for next time (there will definitely be a next time!). P.S. I’ve been saying the sofa should go upstairs for 3 years 🙄
🐷 The opportunity for a proper deep clean - I’ve bleached from the ceiling to the floor!
🐷 Our new limecrete floor and other renovations proved they were up to the job
🐷 Wet vacs, pressure washers and dehumidifiers
🐷 Waterproof boiler suits and wellies
🐷 Coffee!
