A big thank you to Willie John O'Donnell and the whole team at WJ O'Donnell & Sons Funeral Directors in Ballymena for organising their wonderful “True Meaning of Christmas" event and for choosing to support Cruse Bereavement Support NI

Thanks to the generosity of everyone who attended and the local businesses who donated raffle prizes, an incredible £2,510 was raised.

On Sunday, we gathered at Belfast City Hall for the COVID-19 National Day of Reflection, a deeply moving moment to remember those who died during the pandemic and to stand with the families whose worlds were forever changed.

Together we shared words of remembrance, music, reflection and silence. The Memory Stones of Love placed in tribute reminded us that every life lost is a name, a face, a story and a family who continue to carry that love and loss each day.

As the piper played and we stood together in quiet reflection, there was a powerful sense of unity and compassion. Seeing the Yellow Hearts worn and held by families was a poignant symbol of love, remembrance and hope.

We extend our sincere thanks to Belfast City Hall for hosting the memorial event, to Alderman Frank McCoubrey, High Sheriff of Belfast for leading the remembrance, Deputy First Minister Emma Little-Pengelly and Junior Minister Aisling Reilly for attending, NACN and Rock Choir Northern Ireland • Choirs led by Clare Galway for the beautiful music and to the Department for Culture, Media and Sport for supporting the National Day of Reflection. Your support helped create a dignified space for families and communities to come together. 💛💜
