Being chronically overweight is now recognised as the precursor to many diseases like diabetes, heart disease and cancer and you can reduce or totally reverse all the negative effects by simply eating what we were meant to eat. If the generally recommended diet of high carbohydrates and low fat was such a good diet, why then, after 40 years, have we not seen an increase in health and a fall in the major Western diseases? Nourishing ourselves according to our species is the healthiest and most tasty way you can eat to help you stay lean, strong and energetic! It has the capability to optimise your insulin function. and reduce chronic low grade inflammation, the cause of most illness. Research in biology, biochemistry, ophthalmology, dermatology and many other disciplines indicate it is our modern diet, full of refined foods, trans fats and sugar, that is at the root of degenerative diseases such as obesity, cancer, diabetes, heart disease, Parkinson’s, Alzheimer’s, depression and infertility. The nutritional advice I offer is based on low carb high fat eating and how I teach you is simple and easy to understand. No dieting and no calorie counting, just simply re-learning what we should be eating to optimise our health. And in principle there is no need for nutritional supplementation. All the nutients you need to be healthy should be present in the foods you eat. However, again, depending on your particula situation, I may need to advise you to take certain supplements for a time to help you recover from and illness or to help with the function of some organs.
