Imbolc’s symbol in the Cosmic Wheel is simple but powerful:

If you want to celebrate Imbolc on your own, here is the Imbolc Rite that I personally use in my rituals.

In the quiet space between Solstice and Equinox,
a subtle brightness begins to gather.
The First Light stirs —
not loud, not sudden,
but a soft spark rising from within the Earth and within myself.

This is the moment of gentle awakening,
when inspiration moves like a whisper through the soul,
and new timelines shimmer just beyond perception.
The quantum field opens,
inviting intention, clarity, and quiet courage.

Beneath my feet, Gaia hums with returning energy.
Her ley lines warm and brighten,
carrying a new frequency through soil, stone, and root.
The land is not yet green,
but it is listening, preparing, remembering.
Life gathers itself in the dark,
ready to rise.

Imbolc is the threshold where the inner spark
begins its journey toward becoming a beam.
A moment to pause,
to feel the guidance of the higher self,
to hear the soft messages that only silence reveals.

Old timelines loosen their grip,
falling away like frost in morning light.
New pathways open —
clean, bright, unformed —
waiting for the seeds of intention
to be placed gently into the quantum soil.

Here, in this early stirring of the year,
we breathe with Gaia,
we listen to the soul,
and we choose the light we will grow into.

A little information as the wheel turns.

Imbolc is an ancient Celtic seasonal festival celebrated on 1st/2nd February. It marks the mid point between winter and spring, when winter isn’t over, but the days are getting longer. This time of year has been celebrated for centuries, a seasonal turning that lives between winter and spring.

Imbolc is often associated with Brigid, the goddess of healing and creativity. She represents warmth returning to the home, inspiration returning and the slow rekindling of energy returning after the long dark months. Alongside her is Cailleach, the ancient winter goddess. She holds the wisdom of rest, endurance and stillness. At Imbolc her presence doesn’t disappear, it softens.

Imbolc isn’t about big plans or change its about checking in. What carried you through the winter? What feels like it’s quietly waking up again? What do you want to tend to gently instead of rushing? And if you are feeling a subtle shift, more clarity and more energy, a sense that something is returning - that’s the season doing what it’s always done.
