Blossoms and Bluebells, Dandelion wishes, the Wisdom of the Trees, Joy, Peace, Smiles and invisible adventures.

What’s not to love about watching the squirrels scurry along the woodland floor, up trunks, across branches. Completing and competing with daring leaps of faith toward to the next tantalising snack, eyed from the last platform of their self perfected obstacle courses along the treetops.

When wandering through the bluebell woods, the beautiful blue carrying the inner ti**le within to the essence of our senses. Their mystical music is heard on a higher plane; the gentle song that calls all the birds of the woods into their chorus. The Busy squirrels quieten for a moment. The Robins on the ground, the chattering blackbirds in the trees, the hip hopping sparrows, the tiny t**s and even the wood pigeons, all join in with perfectly pitched chords, with perfectly timed rhythms. No screech of the Red kites here in this place, just gentle and soothing songs of nature to recharge and reawaken as springs magic materialises. Our beautiful blue planet begins, once more, to awaken and be reborn for those of us lucky enough to call England our home.

Magic truly is all around, and not just in sound. Dandelions, so important for our buzzy bee friends. The pollen gifts freely given to our furry fliers, the stems now transition to the wishing sticks that we all remember from childhood and, of course, we pass down our traditions to the next generations. These oft misunderstood treasures of flowers bringing not only sustenance to the natural world around us, but also carrying delight to children who blowing and squealing with glee spread the tiny seeds on floaty wings to ensure the continuance of their being.

The woodland is still, no breeze to speak of, and yet the trees still share their stories. Wise and full of old knowledge, shared by an awareness, an innate intelligence, rather than words. A few Japanese blossoms still hang onto their blooms, protected from the early spring wind and rain by older, and more substantial giants.

A pause under a sprawling branch, light pine scented, a forest log, fallen and bedecked with rows of tiny fungi reminds us there is so much more treasure yet to be discovered as the seasons move through the year, each one will have delights of its own to be celebrated and revered.

Ahh yes, we will be back to this place, no doubt!
