Yoga with Lucy-Ann Welcome! My page is all about yoga, and the classes I teach in Wadebridge, North Cornwall. Friday 10am-11am - Yoga Flow (Level 1-2).

My Yoga Training
I have completed a Yoga Standards Alliance’s 200-hour training programme with a Registered Yoga School (RYS) to attain my RYS 200 Yoga Alliance teacher training certificate. I have since completed an in-depth 25-hour yoga training with renowned international Yoga Instructor, Schuyler Grant. In addition, I am currently studying towards my 300hr Advanced Teaching Training Certificate with Inner Dimension Academy and aim to complete this during 2023. Current class schedule...

Yoga Classes are held weekly at The John Betjeman Centre in Wadebridge. Weekly updates and class schedules are also posted to this page every Sunday:

Monday 5.30pm-6.30pm - Easy Yoga (Level 1). This class is suitable for beginners or those wanting a slower and less challenging class. Wednesday 6pm-7pm - Vinyasa Yoga (Level 2) A sequenced flow class for experienced yogis or those wanting to move up from Level 1. Wednesday 7.15pm-8pm - Gentle Yoga (All levels) A blend of gentle yoga, pranayama, yin yoga and restorative yoga. A sequenced flow class for those with some experience of Yoga, although this class would be suitable for beginners. Friday 6pm - Yin Yang Flow (Level 1-2). A fusion of Vinyasa yoga and Yin Yoga. THIS CLASS IS IN PADSTOW, at the Church Rooms, Church Street. Saturday 8am-9am - Yin Yang Flow (Level 1-2). The John Betjeman Centre, Wadebridge. £9 per class with options to buy a block of 10 classes at £90, with one free class. Please bring your own mat or let me know if you need to borrow a mat. Monday 5.30pm Slow Flow (All levels) - This is an all levels "Slow Flow" Vinyasa class. We move mindfully, exploring classic yoga postures in fluid, creative sequences. Whether new to yoga, or a seasoned yoga practitioner, slow flow classes are perfect to learn or review poses, and experience the art of a moving meditation. 🧘‍♀️

Monday 6.45pm - "MEN ON THE MAT" - Men's Yoga Class. Build strength, improve flexibility, and de-stress with yoga and mindfulness.

Wednesday 5.30pm Vinyasa Flow (Level 2) - A dynamic yoga "flow" class suited to those with some experience of yoga. 🧘‍♂️

Wednesday 6.45pm Gentle Yoga (All levels) - This class is a mix of gentle, yin and restorative yoga. 🧘‍♂️

Friday 10.00am Slow Flow (All levels). See above 🧘‍♀️

Friday 6pm - Yin Yang Fusion (Level 1-2) - A blend of Vinyasa yoga ("flow" sequences that work on body strength, tone and balance), followed by Yin Yoga (long held stretches to improve flexibility and mobility). ‍🧘‍♀️

Saturday 8.00am-9.15pm Sunrise Flow 75 mins (Level 2) - A blend of Slow Flow, Vinyasa and Yin Yoga. ‍ Not suitable for beginners.🧘‍♀️

Please arrive in good time for all classes. Late students will not be allowed entry. NO PHONES are permitted in class.

All classes are £10 per person. Yoga cards are available to purchase for £100 (10 classes with 1 FREE class once 10 classes have been completed).

✨ New Class Coming This April — Friday Evening MEDITATION at 5.15pm ✨

After a brilliantly successful Meditation workshop, I’m so happy to share that I’ll be offering a brand‑new 30‑minute meditation class every Friday at 5.15pm, beginning on April 17th.

This will be the first live meditation class in the area, and I’m really excited to see how it supports our community. Think of it as your weekly exhale — a gentle space to switch off, unwind, and reset after the busyness of the week. The best part is, it is a donation-based offering, and half of all profit goes to support The Betjeman Centre.

Whether you’re craving calm, clarity, a mental health boost, or simply a moment to breathe, this class is designed to help you transition into the weekend feeling grounded, centred, and more like yourself again.

It is a short blog post this week, as I prepare for my Meditation Workshop at the end of this week. I have written about OM — but not as something mystical or abstract, but as something we hear in nature all the time. Om is the vibration of life, and the resonance that connects us all. From the hum of the wind to the rumble of the ocean, OM is everywhere once you know how to listen.

✨ New Blog: What Is a Mantra? And Why They Still Matter Today

This week I’ve been reflecting on the power of mantra — not just as something we might chant in yoga classes, but as a genuine tool for calming the mind, softening the noise, and reconnecting with ourselves.

I’ve also shared a little personal story about the Gayatri Mantra, which I learned during my Ayurveda studies — we chanted it together every morning before lectures, and it still holds a very special place in my heart. So many people step onto the mat not just for a workout, but because they’re searching for something more — a practice with depth, wisdom, tradition, and a way of moving that feels meaningful as well as physical. Yoga has this beautiful way of meeting us where we are, offering strength and mobility, yes, but also grounding, clarity, and a sense of connection that goes far beyond the postures.

As a teacher, I’m endlessly fascinated by where this practice comes from and how it has evolved into the yoga we know today. My own approach is shaped by both the ancient roots of yoga and the realities of modern bodies and modern lives. I honour the tradition deeply — and I also believe in a practice that supports the whole human: physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually.

This week, I’ve written a Q&A‑style blog exploring yoga’s origins, its evolution, the rise of modern asana, and why lineage still matters. I also share where I stand as a teacher: a blend of ancient wisdom, modern movement science, and the kind of mindful, functional practice that helps us feel strong, steady, and connected in everyday life.

A bit about me...

Hello and thank you so much for visiting my page, and showing interest in “Yoga & Hiking with Lucy-Ann”. My name is Lucy-Ann Prideaux, and I live in beautiful Cornwall... in the market town of Wadebridge. Wadebridge sits on the banks of the Camel Estuary, about 8 miles in land from Padstow, and it’s here that I’ve made my home. Surrounded by some of the most beautiful and breath-taking countryside and coastline, it is, without doubt, a hiker’s and nature lover’s paradise.

SO... why YOGA and HIKING? These are two great passions of mine, and I decided I wanted to share, and enjoy them both with others! You can check out all my Services, and what I offer, on this page.
