Yoga with Lucy-Ann Welcome! My page is all about yoga, and the classes I teach in Wadebridge, North Cornwall. Friday 10am-11am - Yoga Flow (Level 1-2).

My Yoga Training
I have completed a Yoga Standards Alliance’s 200-hour training programme with a Registered Yoga School (RYS) to attain my RYS 200 Yoga Alliance teacher training certificate. I have since completed an in-depth 25-hour yoga training with renowned international Yoga Instructor, Schuyler Grant. In addition, I am currently studying towards my 300hr Advanced Teaching Training Certificat

Yoga Classes are held weekly at The John Betjeman Centre in Wadebridge. Weekly updates and class schedules are also posted to this page every Sunday:

Monday 5.30pm-6.30pm - Easy Yoga (Level 1). This class is suitable for beginners or those wanting a slower and less challenging class. Wednesday 6pm-7pm - Vinyasa Yoga (Level 2) A sequenced flow class for experienced yogis or those wanting to move up from Level 1. Wednesday 7.15pm-8pm - Gentle Yoga (All levels) A blend of gentle yoga, pranayama, yin yoga and restorative yoga. A sequenced flow class for those with some experience of Yoga, although this class would be suitable for beginners. Friday 6pm - Yin Yang Flow (Level 1-2). A fusion of Vinyasa yoga and Yin Yoga. THIS CLASS IS IN PADSTOW, at the Church Rooms, Church Street. Saturday 8am-9am - Yin Yang Flow (Level 1-2). The John Betjeman Centre, Wadebridge. £9 per class with options to buy a block of 10 classes at £90, with one free class. Please bring your own mat or let me know if you need to borrow a mat. Whether new to yoga, or a seasoned yoga practitioner, slow flow classes are perfect to learn or review poses, and experience the art of a moving meditation. 🧘‍♀️

Monday 6.45pm - "MEN ON THE MAT" - Men's Yoga Class. Build strength, improve flexibility, and de-stress with yoga and mindfulness.

Wednesday 5.30pm Vinyasa Flow (Level 2) - A dynamic yoga "flow" class suited to those with some experience of yoga. 🧘‍♂️

Wednesday 6.45pm Gentle Yoga (All levels) - This class is a mix of gentle, yin and restorative yoga. 🧘‍♂️

Tonight’s Meditation: The Two Arrows

Join me this evening for a 30‑minute guided meditation exploring one of Buddhism’s most practical teachings — The Two Arrows.

We’ll look at how life’s first arrow (stress, pain, hurt) is inevitable, but the second (our reaction or response) is optional. This practice helps us soften, breathe, and reflect.

Meditation literally reshapes the patterns that create the second arrow. Over time, our reactions become gentler, slower, and less automatic.

This week in class, we are exploring a part of the body that quietly does so much more than most people realise — the inner thighs.

Far from being just “stretchy muscles,” the inner thighs stabilise the pelvis, support the knees, connect into the pelvic floor and deep core, and help us feel centred and integrated in almost every pose — from Warrior 1 to Downward Dog, Eagle, Tree, Skandasana and beyond.

We used a block between the thighs in Cat/Cow, Down Dog, Chair, and even as we folded and rose to stand, to help awaken this whole line of support. And by the time we reached Frog Pose at the end, the inner thighs were not only lengthening but working intelligently too.

✨ Friday Evening MEDITATION at 5.15pm ✨

A new Meditation Class starts this Friday, April 17th.

I am very excited to share that I’ll be starting a 30‑minute weekly meditation class every Friday at 5.15pm, beginning this Friday, April 17th.

This will be the first live meditation class in the area, and I’m really excited to see how it supports our community. Think of it as your weekly exhale — a gentle space to switch off, unwind, and reset after the busyness of the week. The best part is, it is a donation-based offering, and half of all profit goes to support The Betjeman Centre.

Whether you’re craving calm, clarity, a mental health boost, or simply a moment to breathe, this class is designed to help you transition into the weekend feeling grounded, centred, and more like yourself again.
