What is Crystal and Chakra Healing?
Chakra Healing/Balancing is a form of alternative therapy that aims to balance the energy centres of the body, known as Chakras. When someone is struggling with their physical or mental health one or more Chakras are often out of balance. Historically various techniques such as meditation, yoga, and Reiki have been used to bring the body back into balance with the mind and soul/aura.
Chakra healing originates from ancient Indian traditions, particularly yoga and Ayurvedic medicine and has been practices for thousands of years in Eastern Medicine.
My personal practice involves energy healing (similar to Reiki), use of sound/vibration therapy using Chakra tuning forks and laying on of crystals on the body.
What does a Crystal Chakra Healing Session consist of?
A typical session often begins with short chat (or catch up for existing clients). We can discuss health issues, personal worries etc in total confidence, and the selection of aromatherapy, crystals, or chakra oracle cards can be used to decide during the treatment where the patient's own natural intuition feels it needs focus during the healing session.
From there we move to the treatment room where a comfortable bed is ready for the client to settle onto. The client may (if they wish) strip down to underwear (I offer spa gowns for privacy) but yoga type loungewear is ideal. I also offer eye masks to help the client relax totally during the session. I cover you in a soft blanket and there will be a pillow for under your head. The session will then involve using a combination of crystals laid on the 7 chakra points plus in the palms and near the feet. Use of targeted crystals on or around the body combined with hands off energy healing and use of a crystal pendulum as I work up and down the body. I would normally use music specially attuned to the 7 chakras, however I can cater to neurodiverse clients with regard to touch and sound so if either are an issue please just let me know in advance, as well as whether you prefer me just to do the treatment or explain the treatment as I go along. I'm happy to adapt to whatever makes my clients most comfortable.
At the end of the session I will recommend you take at least 5 minutes to "sit up slowly, and have a drink of water or juice to feel properly grounded before leaving to prevent any lightheadedness, and if a client wishes we can chat to see how they felt during the session.
I normally offer monthly appointments on a Sunday 10am-4pm (typically fitting in 5-6 45-min treatments), however sometimes I can offer certain evening sessions depending. I can also do home appointments however these are normally more expensive and sessions have to be longer in order to give me time to set up and take down the portable therapy bed. A private quiet space with room for the therapy bed is best, particularly if you don't live alone. For details of alternative appointments please get in touch.
