Happy 130th birthday Chiropractic 🎉
On 18th September 1895, DD Palmer, (the chap with the beard) the founder of Chiropractic, gave the first Chiropractic adjustment to his janitor Harvey Lillard (the chap with the moustache), and a profession was born
Harvey had lost his hearing; he reported that some time ago, he had bent over and heard a pop in his back, and his hearing had gone. DD adjusted Harvey’s back. After three adjustments, his hearing was restored.
After years of trials and tribulations, being attacked by the medical establishment, Chiropractors going to prison for Chiropractic, the American Medical Association being found guilty of conspiracy against Chiropractic (Wilk V's the AMA 1987) Chiropractic has emerged as one of the largest healthcare professions in the world helping millions of people the world over heal.

Hippocrates was a smart fella. He knew the importance of the spine almost 2,500 years ago.

DD Palmer is credited with discovering Chiropractic. However, he claimed to have rediscovered chiropractic, not invented it. It rediscovered what had been known for millennia, yet sadly forgotten.
