We have some wonderful news to share. Our home has been named as a finalist in the first ever national Neurological and Complex Care Awards which recognise and celebrate excellence in neurological and complex care.

To be selected as a finalist in the Best Neurological Care Provider category, judges were looking for services which display exceptional innovation in neuro-rehabilitation, resulting in improved resident outcomes and satisfaction. A commitment to high standards of care and safety, along with a track record of continuous improvement and staff development were also key.

We’re incredibly proud of our 1SC team who all pride themselves on putting our residents first. Every interaction they have forms part of someone’s recovery, and they remain dedicated to always empowering each individual to meet their personal goals with positivity and determination.

We’d like to say a huge thank you to our incredible residents, families and team and we can’t wait to find out if we’re overall winners at the awards night in September!

1SC had the most amazing Heart of gold party today our lovely Molly AT won the award for all her hard work helping our residents on there rehab journey,we had amazing food cocktails entertainment thank you to everyone who made it such a special time 🍔🍰🍹🎼💛

1SC had had a fantastic June we have been on so many outings enjoyed the sun just relaxing on our beautiful balcony and gardens,all our lovely residents get so much from these activities it’s all part of the rehab and puts a smile on there faces 🌼☀️🐝🌻💛

1SC came joint first for Earth week we made a bee and butterfly garden,we brought a beautiful waterfall for our sensory balcony and a bird bath for our bee garden,all our residents are enjoying relaxing and watching the gardens grow our sunflowers and vegetables are all growing beautiful it’s all part of our residents rehab 🦋🫑🥒🌻🐝💛

We are giving away sunflower seeds to spread some joy and happiness this summer. Plant your seeds by late April and submit your photo entries, with your name, age, sunflower measurements and contact details by 31st August.

The lucky winners will be chosen by our residents and notified in September to collect their prize!

Categories include:
The Tallest Sunflower
The Smallest Sunflower
The Brightest Sunflower

We will have separate prizes for adults, children aged 6+ and 0-5years. Our challenge packs will be handed out to our community friends and partners, as well as being available to collect from our home reception team.

1SC enjoyed a Christmas visit from performing pets🐴🐑 a beautiful lamb and pony. It brought a smile to all our residents faces and made their Christmas extra special☃️😍🥰 xx

1SC have been having a amazing time leading up to Christmas,we have had a big bike challenge Christmas outings some great entertainment and lots of Christmas activities,now we are all excited and waiting for our big Christmas celebrations ☃️🥁🍹🎄🧑🏼‍🎄❤️

We took our lovely Melissa to Canvy today to meet up with her family at there stables Melissa used to spend a lot of time at the stables before her brain injury. Melissa was so happy to feed and stroke a old friend a beautiful horse she used to ride and help care for 🐴🐴🐴💙💙💙

1SC have been on some great outings this week we went on our first boat trip down in Heybridge our residents loved it,we had a outing to south end and had lunch at a favourite restaurant Pebbles,and a visit to the zoo is one off our favourites animal therapy ⛴️🐴⚓️☀️💙💙💙

1SC invaded our local stables today we had such a lovely time and was made to feel so welcome our residents fell in love with all the beautiful horses, animal therapy is so important for our residents rehabilitation 🐴🐴🐴💙💙
