Today we went for a good old pub lunch, we were lucky enough to have the use of the minibus so we went to the 5 Horseshoes in Little Berkhamsted, we took a detour on the way & drove along the old & new a10 & through Hertford & Bengeo, it was a lovely journey of reminiscence as we passed through the places which were previously home & work places for some of our residents & seeing how much places have changed. A lovely day had by all.

Yesterday we carried on our ‘arts in Carehome’ project, the theme this year is recyclable & nature, we will be lucky enough to display our art in an exhibition at Colchester & Harlow library along with a number of other Runwood Homes.

At Ashwood we have decided together to make use of the lovely colourful flowers that we have in the garden, so we collected some of the fallen petals & leaves & as a group decided that the colours would best represent butterflies. So we have made collages of butterflies. This sparked all kinds of conversation including topics of gardening, names of flowers & we also took in all the different smells & textures of all the different flowers.
