🚨Photobiomodulation aka Laser Therapy🚨

✨What is it and how does it work?

Red light therapy, also known as low-level laser therapy (LLLT) or photobiomodulation therapy, involves the use of low-intensity red light to promote healing and reduce pain and inflammation in horses and dogs.

It works by stimulating cellular activity, particularly in the mitochondria.
This helps enhance tissue repair and reduce inflammation.

✨How can it help my pet?

Red light therapy is commonly used to treat various conditions such as arthritis, musculoskeletal injuries, wounds, and skin disorders in horses and dogs.

The red light penetrates the skin and is absorbed by cells, triggering biological responses that can:
▪️accelerate healing
▪️reduce pain
▪️improve mobility.

✨It is non-invasive, painless, and generally well-tolerated by animals.

I’ve had the pleasure of recently treating a 10 year old Dachshund called George. George underwent a multi level hemi-laminectomy at the beginning of the year.

✨Scroll down to see videos of pre and post physio treatment over the last few months. As you can see there is less knuckling from the left hindlimb when he’s walking!

✨Thanks to his owners he’s work, George is on the mend and able to go on walks in the forest as he did before surgery
