🐴✨ A little magic trotted into Grappenhall Manor yesterday… meet Peanut the Pony! ✨🐴

Our residents were delighted to welcome this gentle four-legged friend, who brought cuddles, smiles, and plenty of heartwarming moments. 💛

From reminiscing about childhood ponies to simply enjoying Peanut’s calming presence, the joy was truly contagious. 🐎💕

A huge thank you to Peanut for brightening our day — visits like this create memories we’ll treasure.

🌟 Meet Michaela O'Brien – Home Manager at Upland Manor Care Home 🌟

We’re delighted to welcome Michaela O'Brien as the newly appointed Home Manager at Upland Manor Care Home, opening October 2025 in Wythenshawe.

With over 20 years of experience in the care sector, Michaela’s journey began as a Care Assistant and quickly progressed through leadership roles, including Team Leader, Deputy Manager, and Home Manager – a position she has proudly held for the past 15 years.

Most recently, Michaela led with distinction at Ashlands Manor (New Care), earning a reputation for compassionate leadership and exceptional standards in care. She’s now excited to bring that same passion and excellence to Upland Manor, a brand-new, purpose-built home under the Lovett Care family.

🗣 Michaela shared:
“The most rewarding part of being a Home Manager is seeing the difference the team makes to the residents living in the home. I’m excited to build a positive culture at Upland Manor and support a new team in providing the very best care.”

🧩 Cheadle Manor x St Ann’s Hospice Collaboration 🧩

When our friends at St Ann’s Hospice reached out for help checking donated jigsaws, our amazing residents and team jumped at the chance to support such a meaningful cause 💙

Over cups of tea, shared stories, and a lot of laughs, we’ve been busy piecing together puzzles of all sizes – the 500-piece was completed in just one day! 🎉 The 1000-piece took a little longer, but the sense of achievement (and teamwork!) made it so worthwhile.
These completed puzzles will now go on to raise vital funds for St Ann’s Hospice – and we couldn’t be prouder to play a part 💕 It’s been more than just a fun activity – it’s brought joy, purpose, and connection to our residents, families, and staff.

🌟 One-to-one moments at Grappenhall Manor 🌟

This week we’ve been making the most of our Happiness Programme projector – enjoying reaction games, singing along to Tom Jones live, and watching the best of football highlights ⚽🎶.

We also took things outside with a few rounds of corn hole in the garden, bringing plenty of smiles, laughter and friendly competition! 🌿☀️

It’s these little activities that make such a big difference to our residents’ days 💛

💃🪑✨ We’re so excited to welcome our lovely Zumba lady Rebecca back to Grappenhall Manor! She brought the music, energy and smiles with her fun Chair Zumba session.

It’s always a hit with our residents – moving to the beat, clapping along and feeling the joy that dance brings. 🎶💛

To celebrate, our team enjoyed some golden goodies – from Gold Bars to Twix and even Fanta Lemon – all delivered on our travelling treat trolley 🚋💛.

🐴✨ What a fantastic day for our residents at Grappenhall Manor!

We enjoyed not one but two Myley trips out to Cotebrook Shire Horse Centre today. 🚌🌿

Everyone loved seeing the magnificent shire horses, as well as some cheeky otters, pigs, and chickens. 🐷🐔 And of course, there was plenty of time for petting and saying hello to the animals. 🐾💛

Lots of smiles, laughter, and special memories made! 💐
