Did you know there’s an NHS MOT for your lungs – to make sure they’re working properly and to rule out cancer?

If you’re aged 55 to 74 and a smoker or ex-smoker registered with a GP practice, you are eligible for free Lung Cancer Screening. In its first stages, lung cancer often has no symptoms, and screening can spot cancer early when it’s easier to treat and may be cured.

If you’re eligible, you’ll get an appointment by text or in a letter – and after a chat with one of the team, you may be offered a lung scan.

Keep an eye out for your Lung Cancer Screening appointment and please don’t ignore it, because it could save your life.
