Measles spreads easily.

Anyone who is not vaccinated can catch it.

Measles can cause serious complications and can be fatal, so make sure youโ€™re up to date with vaccinations and ask your GP practice about catch up jabs if needed.

A promise made generations ago is helping families at Warrington Hospital today.

Weโ€™re incredibly grateful to Buckley Street Independent Methodist Church, who have donated ยฃ65,227 to our Willow Tree Hub Appeal โ€“ helping us create a dedicated space for families facing the heartbreaking loss of a baby.

Back in 1878, the church pledged that if it was ever sold, some of the proceeds would support Warringtonโ€™s health services. After holding their final service in March 2024, the trustees have honoured that promise โ€“ and their gift will now support families at their most vulnerable moments.

The Willow Tree Hub, planned for the grounds of Warrington Hospital, will offer privacy, comfort and specialist care โ€“ including counselling rooms, a peaceful remembrance garden and a Rainbow Clinic to support families through pregnancy after loss.

Janet Parry, Church Trustee, said: โ€œWe are so pleased to see this money go towards such a meaningful cause. Knowing that our donation will directly support people in our local community means a great deal to us all.โ€

Together, we took 250,000 steps โ€“ and raised ยฃ757 for the Willow Tree Hub Appeal ๐Ÿ’œ

To honour the 250,000 pregnancies lost each year in the UK, our Butterfly Team walked 250,000 steps in one week โ€“ every step a tribute to the babies and families behind that number.

Thanks to your incredible support, we raised ยฃ757 to help make the Willow Tree Hub a reality for our local communities.

To donate to the appeal, visit our JustGiving page.

Thank you for walking with us.

From 7th July 2025, we are changing how we arrange IOL appointments. Hereโ€™s how it will work:

๐Ÿ—ฃ๏ธ If IOL is being considered, your midwife or obstetric team will talk with you about your induction options. You'll make a shared decision about what's best and safest for you and your baby.

๐Ÿ“ฒ Once induction is agreed, your appointment will be booked and confirmed through ๐—•๐—ฎ๐—ฑ๐—ด๐—ฒ๐—ฟ๐—ก๐—ผ๐˜๐—ฒ๐˜€, not by phone. Youโ€™ll receive the date and time within 48 hours, or immediately if it's urgent.

๐Ÿ’ฌ We understand that waiting can feel stressful, but please be assured that this process helps us care for you and your baby in the safest and most organised way. Itโ€™s similar to how we already schedule planned caesarean sections.

โค๏ธ Please be assured that your preferences, involvement, and safety are at the heart of every decision made. If you have questions, your midwife or maternity team is here to support you.
