I spend my working days building relationships, creating a safe environment, and getting to know people & their lives.
I'm honoured to create a safe space where people feel comfortable enough to share happiness, news, worries, tears or anxieties and a space where people leave feeling like a weight is off their shoulders for just talking and getting it all off their chest.
All too often, I ask someone how they are, and they reply "yeah im good" or "not bad" (my usual response to that question too!!)
But when you really get chatting, so many of us have so much going on every day & they're living in survival mode, holding themselves together or trying to heal.
We don't know what's going on in people's lives, the battles they might have, or how someone's feeling, and so treating everyone with love & patience is so so important right now.
So before world mental health day comes to an end... just remember we should be prioritising our mental health & others around us every single day.
One smile to a stranger, one small gesture to help someone, one random act of kindness, one small step to prioritising yourself, one conversation to share how you're feeling.. all small things we can do to support mental health around us on a daily basis. 🫶
