Food Intolerances.
The Silent Prison No One Talks About 🤯
Let’s go back….. way back!
For most of human history, food was simple, seasonal, and alive.
We fermented, we soaked, we sprouted.
Bread was sourdough, slowly risen over days, rich with wild yeasts and lactobacillus.
Milk was raw or cultured into kefir or yoghurt.
Veggies came with soil still clinging to their roots, packed with microbes that educated our immune system.
We lived close to the earth.
Children played outside, barefoot, exposed to nature’s microbial playground.
We ate 30–50 different plant foods a week without trying, simply by eating with the seasons and using everything…. roots, stalks, leaves, and all.
Meat came with collagen, organ meats, marrow…. not just chicken breasts in plastic trays.
Our guts?
They were full of bacteria that knew what to do.
They broke down tough fibres, neutralised histamines, fermented leftovers into vitamins, and communicated constantly with the immune system to keep us tolerant to the world around us.
Now fast-forward to today.
Enter Big Food 🍟🍔
Enter shelf-stable, ultra-processed convenience.
Enter decades of antibiotics (both prescribed and hidden in our food chain).
Enter chlorine, pesticides, artificial sweeteners, emulsifiers, hand sanitiser, C-sections, bottle feeding, and 24/7 stress.
Our microbial richness?
Decimated. ➖
Instead of feeding our gut bacteria, we’ve starved them…. or worse, annihilated them.
What’s left? A fragile, inflamed gut lining.
