🏉 Growing up with type 1 diabetes comes with challenges - especially when you’re diagnosed at just 7 years old. But for Megan Williams, semi-professional rugby player for Wigan Warriors, that moment did not define her - it motivated her.

On the pitch, Megan discovered a place where diabetes didn’t set limits. Sport became her outlet, her confidence, and eventually, her purpose.

Everything changed again when she received her first insulin pump. Stable nights, fewer worries during class, and the freedom to focus on school, sport, and her dreams. What could have ended her passion, became the very thing that pushed her forward.

MiniMed Community Day - A day of connection, conversations… and one very special blue balloon.

We brought together people living with diabetes, advocates, creators and families to celebrate World Diabetes Day — and to share something even bigger: community.

From experience sharing to the Blue Balloon Challenge rising above the city, the day was filled with moments of support, strength and a whole lot of smiles.
Because when we come together, we lift each other higher.
