Dr Edward Bach discovered one remedy that isn’t made from a plant. It’s Rock Water. He made it from a natural spring when he lived in Wales in 1933. The water is collected and left in bright sunlight for three hours to potentise it. Natural springs are found in areas that are “untouched by civilisation”. These areas have no fertilisers or pesticides or acid rain, the three main pollutants, and no medications. Natural springs are found distant from human habitation. In the U.K. today we have Glastonbury well, Tunbridge Wells and springs in Buxton and Harrogate. There are springs known for power to heal the sick.
A person requiring Rock Water has a very rigid lifestyle they’re not open minded and they can’t let go of theories and principles that they want to carry out in their life. They may have strict diets, strict ideas on religion, politics, work ethics. They are not influenced by others as they believe they are right. They have great ideals but they have no inner peace. They cling to one aspect of spirituality, of a meditation technique, and they suppress worldly desires. They believe in a rigid way of life yet this tends to inhibit their development. They reproach themselves if they’re not perfect at what they want to do they are under a lot of physical and mental stress.
They believe that worldly desires inhibit spiritual development and they want to be a saint while still on this earth. They suppress physical and emotional needs; they deny themselves a normal life.
They don’t interfere in the lives of others and they don’t try and change them but they feel that they are being an example of the way to live.
So overall they have a self-imposed discipline and they reproach themselves if they can’t maintain this. A negative Rock Water person needs to take Rock Water then they will find that they will do their physical exercise and their meditation but not with rigid rules. Rock Water’s positive aspect will enable them to bring their ideals to other people maybe, and they will have joy and peace in life but in a natural way. They will be open to new insights and experiences and let things grow.
Mechthild Scheffer “Bach Flower Therapy” Positive statements: ‘I am open to new insights and experiences.’
‘ I let things grow.’
‘I let all aspects of my life have their due.’
They will change their minds and give up some of their theories if they are convinced of something greater. They begin to understand that inner harmony is more powerful than enforced behaviours and they ‘flow’ more in life.
