As healthcare providers with strict Covid protocols in place we are able to keep Berkhamsted clinic open during the national lockdown.
Your safety is our priority.
Prescreening checks. Temperature taken at the door. Face mask worn throughout. Hand sanitizers provided. Practitioners in full PPE. A minimum of 20 minutes window wide open ventilation and cleaning between each patient. Wipeable heated couch covers.
Take a look at how we clean the treatment room.
As our Watford Clinic is based in a busy medical centre and we cannot guarantee our patients will not come in to contact with unwell patients visiting their GP, it will remain closed and we will review in the new year.

"An osteopath is a human engineer, who should understand all the laws governing his engine and thereby master disease." - Andrew Taylor Still

Hi, meet Andrew Taylor Still! ✨🙋‍♂️

Working as a physician in the 1800s, AT Still witnessed sometimes harmful and ineffective practices (including giving patients arsenic and o***m!) resulting in much suffering and death. The loss of his three children to spinal meningitis cemented his focus on discovering the root of disease rather than curing symptoms.

AT Still pioneered the concept of "wellness'' and treating illness from a context of the whole body. He proposed that the alignment and balance of the musculoskeletal system directly influenced the body's ability to function and heal itself via it's relationship to blood and nerve flow.

And thus osteopathy was born! 🙌 His success in treating patients gained much popularity and many people became interested in learning his methods. There are now schools all over the world teaching osteopathic medicine with our numbers growing every year.

Osteopathy continues to prove itself as a SAFE, GENTLE and EFFECTIVE form of treatment and we look forward to telling you more over the coming week!
