We are looking for volunteers to join our Youth Team in Watton.

Youth Team Volunteers teach young people, of all different backgrounds, vital and life-changing first aid skills.

As a Youth Team Volunteer, you will be responsible for creating a safe and inclusive environment where young people can learn first aid and other life skills, by treating everyone equally and fairly. You'll also support with the delivery of activities, sessions, and games, along with teaching different subjects in line with St John programmes.

Do you know someone aged 11-17 with an interest in health and medicine, or want to join a local youth group?

Cadets at St John Ambulance get involved in a wide range of activities and build several skills, including:

- learning first aid.
- learning about health and wellbeing.
- leadership skills and confidence.
- communication skills.
- outdoor and adventure activities.
- volunteering at local and national events, providing help to those in their time of need.

Watton Youth meet at Barn Ruche, Thetford Road, every Wednesday during term time, 6.30pm to 8pm.

Yesterday, on the 10th November 2024, young people from both Dereham and Watton Youth units joined their local communities in an act of remembrance, laying wreaths on behalf of their units and took part in 2 minutes of silence to remember the fallen.
