Just a note to say we currently have availability (Monday to Friday)

Morning: 30mins (7:00am)

Lunchtime: 30mins (11:30am)

Tea time: 30mins (5:00pm), (5:30pm) or (6:00pm)

Night time: 30mins (7:00pm) or (8:30pm)

These times are currently for calls based within the Watton/Saham area.

2025 has been a cluster of high high's & low low's but it came with the best decision I've ever made!! to stop working for others, constraint by others rules & treating people as just a number...

In starting Definition Care I've gained some amazing people in my life, I have the best group of customers, their supportive families & I get to do it all working alongside my bestie!

So today Douglas has been doing the rounds! & He's even been to see his favourite person our 99 years young Cecil. These two are peas in a pod basking in the sun watching the world go by!

Hello!

Just a quick enquiry, Is there anyone local to Watton who keeps horses (preferably friendly) and easy to access that would allow me to bring my 99 year old client to come see them, maybe give them a carrot and a stroke, he has always been around show horses, but due to age & ability he's not been around them in years, I was hoping to get him out of the house for a little while.

Something we often deal with in the line of care (especially the elderly) is people not asking for help when they need it, whether it's due to physical struggles or mental health struggles... With the strongest of age ranges at hand this is definitely a delicate issue to approach... These people have survived wars as well as many other life changing events so it comes as no shock that they grit their teeth & carry on as best they can... I can't express how important it is to speak out if you need help or know someone that does! This is what people like us (carers) are here for & we take absolute joy & pride in helping the generation that built this country & all it stands for!

In this industry (care) it's rare to have days, week, hours off so why not switch the mindset and enjoy every single day as much as the last, be excited for the next day as we are all aware tomorrow is not a given it's a gift!

When it's Friday but you still have wknd responsibilities or work just remember the below, which is why it's a luxury to be your own boss in care, spending those extra minutes with people who may not see anyone all day, listening to all their fantastic stories, getting them a cup of tea before you go & making sure they are comfy, these although they are small things mean the world to them, it's honestly a blessing to be unrestricted by time limits or have to treat them as an object on a conveyor belt.

I think that's worth more than the money 🤷🏽‍♂️
