There’s been a change in software that I use. This has had a knock on effect to online booking, my ease of using the diary (I’m old!) and therefore I take more time in clinic getting to grips with the software for your records and am having to book all appointments myself. Hence the lack of presence here. Throw in Christmas, and I am a wreck! 🤦🏼‍♀️😆

I am taking this opportunity to review the treatments I offer, which will lead to me discontinuing some I feel do not deliver the level of results I, or you expect.

There will also be a price review effective from January 1st. Any treatments already booked, or booked between now and the end of of the year, will be honoured at the current price. My prices have remained the same for the last 4+ years, I hope you all understand the need for this review.

I have no appointments remaining this year, and January is around half full. Please get in touch via dm or text if you want to book an appointment. I’ll announce as soon as online booking is up and running again.

Well hasn’t that come round quick!!

If you want to be Botox/skin booster ready for the December festivities you need treatment this week or next! With the review/second skin booster end of the month and you’re good to go!

If you’re wanting to look fresh and glowy for the Big Man then treatments need to start end of this month, with the review week before Christmas.

I will always do my best to get you all in, but the sooner you book, the less stressful it is if I need to squeeze you in, or add an additional clinic day.

Micro needling. The absolute Godfather in skin treatments to improve collagen production/supply. Also known as collagen infection therapy. It is my favourite. Skin literally glows after this treatment.

These 3 pictures are all immediately post treatments. The first 2 had a medium depth treatment the final one had a deeper treatment with targeted areas treated at deeper level. This meant that the skin was more red afterwards and downtime was longer. But results to problem areas were visible sooner.

The beauty of a mechanical device is that treatment is totally bespoke to your skin needs. A course of at least : is recommended, 6 of targeting specific concerns.

Autumn winter is the perfect time for this treatment due to less daylight hours and therefore a lower risk of complication caused from the sun during the healing process.

I have a medical background, a fully qualified nurse with over 20 years experience. I am a prescribing nurse with advanced nurse practitioner qualifications at masters level.

Another lovely little lip transformation.

Sun damage.
Now it is likely to be at its most obvious in the form of dark spots, dehydration meaning lines and wrinkles are more obvious.

And now is the perfect time for a reset. These 2 pictures are 12 months apart. Last autumn/winter skincare introduced products that treated dark spots and they hugely improved. Through the summer SPF was used, stayed out of the sun as much as possible, but you have to live! So some of the damage, dark spots in particular have crept back in. But not anywhere close to baseline of 12 months ago.

So what now? Start again. Reintroducing products that treat dark spots, rehydrate and encourage collagen production by using in clinic treatments such as peel and micro needling.

Just because you’ve done it once doesn’t mean you never do it again. You don’t just do a gym class once and expect that to last a lifetime. Skin health is a commitment, consistency brings results and can hold back skin ageing better than you can imagine!

Frosting.

A light dusting, or frosting appearance over the skin is seen during the process of a salicylic acid chemical peel. The level of frosting is a good indicator that the peel has gone through its process to dissolve the lipids holding the top layer, the oldest layer, of skin together.

By dissolving these lipids it allows the older skin to shed, presenting as dry or flaking skin for a few days, revealing the newer skin underneath. This improves the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles and allows daily skin products the take effect on the newer skin leading to better outcomes. Sun damage such as dark spots are also improved.

Salicylic acid peels are also amazing at reducing pore size and addressing acne and the scarring after acne.

The perfect time to have a peel is when it’s not sunny, so now!! A course of at least 3 is recommended, maybe more depending on the aim. So start now and you can get 3 in before the sun appears in April/May.

And 2025 has started!!! Here’s a little pic of me and Mr G celebrating the new year.

What a year 2024 was, you all kept me super busy, for which I am totally grateful and humbled that you trust me with your treatments.

I’m excited for 2025.

My clinic days and hours are changing slightly as a result of my NHS hours changing. So bear with me through January whilst I get to grips with all the juggling and changes.

However, I am very pleased to say that I will now have regular Friday daytime appointments to help you get your treatments in without imposing on your weekend and/or giving you maximum time to recover from treatment before the world of work on a Monday.
