Sat down for my lunch by the river today during my EFT and hypnotherapy training, just taking a moment to slow down and think.
The thing I worked on this morning has completely surprised me.
Nearly 18 years ago now, I drank heavily. Life is completely different now, but part of me still seemed connected to that old version of myself without even realising it.
Not in a big obvious wayโฆ more in a quiet inner doubt. A part of me still questioned whether I was worthy of doing the work I do and helping people the way I do now.
Thatโs the amazing thing about the mind.
We can carry old emotions, beliefs, identities, and experiences for years without even noticing. Yet they still show up quietly in behaviours, habits, reactions, confidence, and the way we see ourselves.
The river made me think about that today.
Water keeps flowing. It doesnโt stay attached to where itโs been.
Part of healing is learning to stop holding onto versions of ourselves that no longer exist.
Our brain is constantly changing and adapting through neuroplasticity.

It's amazing what can shift when you work directly with the mind and body.
This is the work that is done when EFT and hypnotherapy are used together.
