Sadly, no longer with us, we dedicate the woodland to them, with the aim of helping those most in need, to find peace, serenity and a natural reconnection to nature. Calves Lodge Wood is a five and a half acre, family owned, private woodland, ‘nestled’ right in the centre of a group of woodlands all of which are privately owned. A quiet oasis of calm and healing at all times, we aim to offer a range of therapies and events for relaxation and wellbeing. As well as Shinrin Yoku and Mindfulness in nature, we will be hosting other events, designed for rest and relaxation such as afternoon tea in the woodland, willow sculpture days and lots of other seasonal activities. Some of the funds made from these events will be invested back into the care and regeneration of the woodland so that future generations will be able to enjoy their natural heritage. Giving back to the environment, we are undertaking extensive re-planting and management of the five and a half acre woodland. Many species of wildlife inhabit its green canopy and leafy floor from ‘Buzzards’ soaring high overhead to Lemon Slugs hiding in the undergrowth we even have a family of Fallow deer who roam through from time to time. We will be offering free use of the space, once a month, to Charities helping those experiencing stress, anxiety and depression. We hope that being in nature will help them in their battle with mental illnesses. None of our group events will exceed twenty people at any one time and the woodland space is for adults over 18 only. To view and book events, please go to the events page of our main website at
