Working in the personal training and physiotherapy fields, I often get questions that range from, “Can you massage my back to reduce pain?” to, “What’s the fastest way to lose a stone in a few weeks?”

Many of these questions reflect a gap in knowledge—not the fault of clients but a result of confusing information out there. This is why, as trainers and therapists, we’re here not just to treat or train, but to educate and empower.

There’s a saying: A pen is more dangerous than a sword—that’s the power of knowledge.

Across both fields, two principles consistently bring the best results, whether it’s pain relief, weight loss, muscle building, or improving performance: simplicity and consistency.

It’s about finding exercises that work for you, align with your goals, and don’t need to be extreme or over-complicated. You don’t need wild moves like single-leg backflips or a long list of exercises to get results.

Personally, I haven’t changed my routine in 6 months because it’s specific to my goals, and I see steady progress every month. The same goes for my clients. Those who thrive are the ones who don’t over-complicate things—they just show up and stay consistent.

Exploring the Dilemma: Teen Athletes and the Temptation of PEDs

In this poignant episode, I delve into the delicate issues surrounding adolescent athletes driven to rapidly enhance their strength and physique for sports, often without considering the consequences.

I candidly share my personal journey, recounting my early 20s experience with PEDs for competitive bodybuilding and subsequent progression to more potent recreational drugs, which resulted in profound mental health challenges that I continue to confront. I went cold Turkey on everything and have been clean on all but alcohol here and there for the past 8 years.

Life offers invaluable lessons through shared experiences, and I aim to impart insights by sharing my story. Through my narrative, listeners can gain insight into my past perspective and experiences.
