🔋 Our utility partnerships enable us to support kidney patients through their water and energy providers.

This month we visited Gloucester and Telford Renal Units with our partners from Severn Trent and National Grid Customers UK, meeting with over 120 patients to find out how they can be supported. Over the three days, we identified £6,509 in potential savings, helped 51 customers sign up for the Priority Services Register (PSR) and distributed 12 National Grid crisis packs.

One of our Renal Consultants, Andy Nixon, is running the Manchester Marathon in April this year to raise money for kidneys for life. This charity provides funding for kidney research which has a real benefit to patients with kidney problems.

2 of our staff have had the opportunity to attend the Kidney Supportive Care Conference in Manchester this week. One of the excellent talks was from our own Dr Andy Nixon. There were lots of great learning opportunities at the conference as well as the chance to network with other renal staff from the UK and abroad.
