Its TIIIIMMMMMEEEEE 🎄🎅 Steam Pudding Recipe whānau!! Done in the oven, easy peasy!!
INGREDIENTS:
2 Cups Sugar
350ml Warm Water
250 Grams of Butter or Margrine for dairy free.
3 Cups Self Raising Flour
2 Cups Plain Flour
2 Teaspoons Baking Soda
5 Medium Eggs (can use 4, can use 6 if they are small)
**You can add any of these to the wet batter when its all combined, 2 heaped tablespoons of golden syrup, 1 tablespoon of any spice mix, sultanas.

This is what over 30 hours with no sleep looks like 😂 You're welcome 💋
Over 1000 chicken pieces, potatoes, kumara, pumpkin, cabbage plus sweet corn, eggplant and portobello mushrooms for or vegetarian whānau cooked, then individually packed into containers once cooked, dont get me started on the fried bread 😂 People think I have a massive team behind me, well I do but not the way you think. My daughter is my right hand, my youngest son is my muscle and moko thinks his nan is funny hahaha from time to time I ask my sister or a friend if they can help and thats it. My team is small but mighty and we have HEART ❤️ Kares Kai is that mum, aunty or Nans whāre you know you can go to when you need a kai and thats our motto is 'A taste of home'

Busy couple of weeks ahead whānau!! We are catering a Pōhiri on the 16th where 3000 plus indigenous will be gathering and coming together at the Cloud ☁️ so this week we will be gathering prepping and doing the mahi to provide all the aroha we can muster to our kai. We also have the Housie fundraiser giveaway on the 19th Nov, the Housie on the 23rd closely followed by our Hangi Pot giveaway, more catering on the 29th almost forgot my eldest Son will be turning 30 on the 22nd 😬🤣 then the beginning of December we are taking Kares Kai on the road and catering in Tauranga. 😳
