Daisy and I had a very sad request last week, to visit a terminal ill patient at Frimley Park Hospital.

The lovely lady and her husband had kept horses all their lives and her final wish was to see one before the inevitable happened.

After trying to navigate to logistics of having a pony in a hospital, the Chaplin from the hospital arranged for a team to bring the lady down to a beautiful garden setting for her to meet Daisy.

It was simply beautiful to watch the lady engage with Daisy and find comfort in seeing her, while going through such an awful time. She talked about her life with the horses she used to have, we laughed about how naughty they can be at times and agreed that horses become apart of you when you own them and how that never leaves you 🥲

Daisy was her usual caring, loving self and just rested her head in the ladies lap, giving every bit of love she had to give and granting this ladies last wish to her.

To keep the privacy of this moment, there are no photos to post, but it was a truly special moment that I will remember forever.

It’s these moments that I realise how lucky I am to be able to offer such comfort to people in their time of need. I also realise how lucky I am to have Daisy and reflect on all the times both her and the rest of my horses have comforted and got me through some of the worse times in my own life.

Horses are simply amazing animals and I hope Daisy and I can continue to love and support people when they need it ❤️❤️

Daisy and I had a great visit to Queen Elizabeth Park Care Home on Monday. It was lovely to see all the wonderful residents again and it was made even more enjoyable with the toddler group that was also visiting!

Can’t wait to see you again in April ❤️❤️

Well after 6 weeks, Daisy and I have come to the end of our first groups of therapy sessions at West Byfleet Infant School! 😢

What an incredible journey it has been. Some children started very nervous both of me and Daisy but at the end of the six weeks they became confident and loving Daisy and even leading her around a difficult obstacle course in their playground! 🥰

They have learned how care for Daisy including, grooming, the different parts of her body, what to feed her and what not to feed her and how to safely lead Daisy! This taught the children how to be calm, confident and work together as team.

I’m so incredibly proud of every single child that I have worked with through the course and to celebrate their achievements I had the honour to present them with their certificates, rosettes and a picture of them with Daisy, in their celebration assembly today. ❤️

Daisy now has a well deserved half term break but we are both super excited to start work with the new groups of children after half term. 🥳

It was a lovely surprise today to receive West Byfleet Infant School’s news letter, it had a lovely piece in it praising the work that Daisy and I have done over the last 6 weeks with their wonderful children!

It’s great to see the positive impact Daisy has on both the young and elderly ❤️

So I know I haven’t posted much since Christmas, but that is because Daisy and I have had a busy month!

We had a fantastic visit on Monday to the super Woking and Sam Beare Hospice.

It’s incredible to watch how Daisy makes such a difference to people that are going through such a tough time.

Daisy also does a great job at making all the amazing staff smile and she brightens up their day to!

This is definitely Daisy and her best friend Winnie 🤣🤣
