Since qualifying as a life coach, becoming a Reiki Master, and exploring the Akashic Records, I’ve always had an idea in my mind of what a retreat experience could look and feel like, although have never actually been to one!
Last weekend, I finally decided to take the plunge and try it out.
I roped in two gorgeous ladies to be my guinea pigs, and thankfully they were fully up for the experiment!
We spent the weekend in a beautiful lodge in Devon (my favourite county) on a peaceful woodland park surrounded by nature. I organised the food, created a rough itinerary, and brought together some of the things I love most about the work I do.
My wonderful yoga teacher and friend, Leigh Wilson from Everyone Yoga, came to the lodge to hold a Yoga class and Yoga Nidra session for us, and throughout the weekend we also shared:
✨ Group Reiki
✨ Akashic Records readings
✨ Mini coaching conversation and reflections
✨ An inner child stencilling/colouring session
✨ A beach walk and time to slow down and reconnect
And honestly… it went really well.
I genuinely loved the whole experience.
It also taught me a lot.
Trying something for the first time definitely took me outside my comfort zone, but it reminded me how important it is to trust your ideas enough to give them a chance to grow.
I also realised that organising something like this single-handed can be quite a challenge, so I already have some collaboration ideas in mind for next time.
This felt like the beginning of something really special.
