Carry on with it

If it’s not helping then stop

Don’t sit in between these two, wanting it to work because other people have found it helpful

You’re not other people, you’re You and this one isn’t your flavour

And continuing to try and get it and make it work will only take you further away from what would actually be helpful

Put it down

Come on

Let go

There’s something more helpful on its way for you

This is really cool!

I got it from the fantastic Niamh Corcoran at a connection day organised by the amazing Julie Brown for Coaches.

Niamh gave each of us a journal with a personal note inside.

I didn’t ask her to create me one or tell her what I’d like to hear, she wrote what came to mind when she thought of me.

And it was spot on!

That’s the power we all have of going with the moment to do something that makes sense to do for others, in our own style, using our own amazing talents!

What I heard for myself in Niamh’s note reminded me to look at how my dogs love me no matter what.

Having a bad day
Having a good day
They still love me
They still show up

The same goes for that inner wisdom I have within me.
Good day
Bad day
It doesn’t judge
It doesn’t choose days to appear

It’s 24/7 to support and serve and remind me to keep going and sharing and helping others

(It’s there for you too btw 😉)

We will get so far on our own with self help and then hit a wall that no inspirational TikTok video can conquer.

We need conversation with others who get us

Who can spot the glimmers of who we are that continue to show up no matter how lost in our heads we may be.

Who can be there for us in our overwhelm

Remind us how awesome we are

And cheer for us when we bounce back

Find that person, group or community where you are seen and heard for who you really are

The wisdom behind the noise
The humour behind the tears
The You that has never left your own side

Let that land.

We’re not meant to stay stuck.
We’re not wired for misery.
We’re built to feel, grow, love, evolve

and return to our natural state of aliveness.

This insight was shared by one of our Project You members this week

Not something we told them to remember
Something they heard from within while relistening to this week’s Q&A

And the cool thing is, we didn’t even say that!
It’s what they heard for themselves

That’s where the magic lives
Where our support system really lies

🚸 What if uncomfortable feelings were just like a zebra crossing?

You’re driving along, you spot someone waiting to cross.
You stop.
They cross (maybe wave to thank you for not running them over)
You move on.

Now what if that twitchy, awkward, “don’t like this feeling” is just a little internal zebra crossing saying,
“Hey, some thoughts wanna come through. No need to engage, just let them over, we’re moving them along for you.”

But instead, we lean out the mental window going:
“Alright thoughts, off you go… yep, keep it moving… nothing to see here. Just cross safely now…”

Imagine doing that at every zebra crossing to people as they cross which then leads them to hang around a little longer and engage with you more

Yet we do it with our feelings all the time. We feel something uncomfortable and suddenly it’s
“Oh no, not this again. I need to fix this. Manage it. Make it go away. Quick!”

But the truth? You don’t need to do any of that.

You don’t control the thoughts.
You don’t need to direct traffic.
Your system knows what it’s doing.
Feelings are just the crossing guards, not the warning alarms.

So next time that knot shows up in your stomach, ask yourself:

🦓“Is this just a zebra crossing moment?”

Let the thoughts cross.
Let the system do its thing.
You’ve got better things to do than play traffic warden in your own head.

What is an Adventure in Wellbeing?

For some, Wellbeing is a feeling of greatness, contentment and relaxation. We solve problems easier, get creative and come up with new ideas enabling us to help others better.

Life just doesn’t seem as difficult when we are in this space...

And when we are here, we have some of our greatest adventures! We all have times where we dont know what to do, become worked up and then in a moment of clarity the solution appears. Any doubts, worries, anxieties or fears just dissapear. When you go to the beach life almost becomes simple, there are moments of clarity. Your brain almost switches off and goes into a state of “pure thought” a state that helps us hear the sea clearer, feel the breeze and notice sunsets like we have never noticed them before. That is wellbeing.

Is to show you what Wellbeing is, how it’s there to help and what takes you away from it.
