Big cloth sale coming next week.

I’m having a studio clear out and looking for good homes for some lovely pieces of merino wool woven cloth.

I work on a Jaquard loom with a very close weave so these pieces are strong enough for upholstery as well as perfect for small blankets or cushion covers.

If you’d like to get first look at what’s for sale you can sign up to my newsletter on my website.

Hope your all having a lovely Easter break

. NEW knitted scarves!

Finally after months of work my new knitted collection is online.

Merino wool scarves and wrist warmers knitted on a vintage Brother knitting machine in our West Yorkshire studio.

The whole knitting thing initially started as a zero waste project to use up left over yarn from weaving projects but once I got a taste of knitting I’ve found it quite addictive.

They’re knitted in fine merino but I’ve felted them to give more weight and the combination is an incredibly soft scarf with a lovely handle.

It’s a new method for me but hopefully you can see similarities to my woven work in terms of colour palettes and proportions. As always I’ve tried to create pieces which are contemporary but also have a longevity and timelessness to them. Just like my blankets I’d like you to enjoy these for a long time!

Happy browsing 🙂

Bank holiday weekend photography.

So I’m going to be mainly sitting waiting for West Yorkshire clouds to part so I can run to my little hallway photo studio and grab some shots of my new knitted pieces.

It’s going ok so far…this is one of my new Cube scarves which all going well will be online next week 🤞

Moody blues.

A woven sample from a couple of years ago. This design was inspired by a Japanese Kimono. I’m always drawn to deep blues at this time of the year.. must be my craving for the sea.

In other news my website is open for again ( sooner than expected.. surgery went well!)

Next Saturday (17th of June) I’ll be taking part in a wonderful local event, one of my favourite shows and a real celebration of the talented makers and producers we have in this beautiful part of West Yorkshire.

There are some incredible businesses involved including:

It’s the perfect time to visit the Colne Valley, meet the makers, eat some great food, listen to some music and maybe take a walk on the beautiful moors that I’m constantly posting pics of!

Really hope you can make it :)
