In security, we employ more than 1,500 SIA licenced security officers who provide protection for a business, its assets, people and reputation. Our experts advise on the latest security technology including CCTV, alarm systems and data, as consultants help mitigate risk whilst adding genuine value to each client. A highly flexible approach enables us to combine the expertise of different logistics management fields such as transport, storage, material movement and people flow. In business services, we supplement client operations with security and logistics consultancy and services that improve safety, efficiency and the customer experience. Welcoming the 2025 cohort of apprentices at Heathrow 📚

This week our new 2025 cohort officially began the Wilson James bespoke Customer Service apprenticeship programme.

Based at Heathrow, the cohort will complete an apprenticeship tailored to our passenger assistance service, ensuring they develop the skills, knowledge, and behaviours needed for long-term success. Senior L&D Business Partner, Kate Patel spent the week getting to know the new team and welcoming them aboard. They’ve already shown huge potential, and we can’t wait to see the impact they’ll make as part of the WJ team.

We’re proud to work in partnership with the Heathrow Employment & Skills Academy and thank them for their support in launching this cohort.

We can’t wait to see what this talented group bring to the team. Welcome to Wilson James!

Congratulations to Kevin Keeble, Permit Manager and Ben Sobey, Dock-master for receiving Bronze Extra Mile Awards.

Ben and Kevin have been awarded extra miles for their exceptional effort of Responsibility. They went above and beyond to help the tenants fulfil a last-minute request, ensuring everything was completed smoothly and on time. They were presented their award by Mo Boro, Logistics Manager.

Extra Mile Awards 🏆

Congratulations to Deufe Borgho from our Havant & Thicket Reservoir site for receiving a Bronze Extra Mile Award. Deufe received the award for his hard work and fantastic efforts on site! He was also awarded employee of the month and had his poster on the wall in the staff canteen. Here he is being presented his award by Age Van Zandbergen, Senior Project Manager and Gary Seward, Logistics and Security Manager.

Our second congratulations goes to Iwona Borukalo, Receptionist at 12 Endeavour Square. Iwona was nominated for her exceptional customer service skills and for going above an beyond in helping to ensure a smooth transition for the tenant during a period of internal changes and high volume of guests. Iwona truly demonstrated adaptability, Professionalism, and a proactive approach, turning what could have been a stressful situation into a positive experience. She was presented her award by Paul Allardyce- Site Manager, Mohsin Patel - Duty security Manager and Neseta Taylor - CBRE Assistant Building Manager.

These are both great achievements and we at Wilson James are very proud of your consistent diligence and effort.

Last week the WJ team at Television Centre Phase 2 had a successful multiplex Health and Safety Director walk. The team were praised for their hard work on the cleanliness of the site and green routes. As a thank you each one was given a breakfast voucher for their continued efforts.

As we hit the middle month of the year we saw 110 new starters join the team. In addition, our automation helped save HR over 10 hours of work with 59 employees successfully passing their probation.

Congratulations to Ewa Michalek, Security Admin Officer on being awarded ‘Hero of the Year’ by our client at the Natural History Museum. Having worked at the museums since 2010, Ewa won this award for her professionalism, dedication, and consistently going the extra mile. This award is a true reflection of just how valued Ewa is by those around her.

Speaking of her win Ewa said “I would like to thank everyone that voted for me and all the other colleagues that were nominated. Being recognised by those we work with every day is humbling…I see how hard everyone works to deliver their best effort for the museum.”

Ewa was invited to Buckingham Palace to receive her award, describing the day as a moment she will never forget! Thank you, Ewa, for your outstanding contributions, all of us at Wilson James are incredibly proud of you.

Awards at Wilson James 🏆

Congratulations to Steve Else from our Wilson James team at Green Park for receiving a Silver Extra Mile. Steve diligently stepped into the role of Front of House Manager to ensure smooth running of the contract whilst we recruited for the permanent position.

Our second congratulations goes to Ali Rehman from our WJ team at St Pauls’ for receiving a High 5 award. Ali was awarded the High 5 for leading the way in his observations during bag checks of visitors wanting to go inside the Cathedral. He has been extremely vigilant in keeping the cathedral safe.
