In security, we employ more than 1,500 SIA licenced security officers who provide protection for a business, its assets, people and reputation. Our experts advise on the latest security technology including CCTV, alarm systems and data, as consultants help mitigate risk whilst adding genuine value to each client. A highly flexible approach enables us to combine the expertise of different logistics management fields such as transport, storage, material movement and people flow. In business services, we supplement client operations with security and logistics consultancy and services that improve safety, efficiency and the customer experience. Wilson James take on the final ‘Dig Deeper’ Adventure Race in the Lake District! 👊

Last week four Wilson James teams braved Dig Deeper, a tactical and physical challenge requiring navigational skills, four hours of fell running, mountain biking, and a surprise activity (which could be anything from kayaking to climbing a waterfall!). This year, teams were required to abseil into a quarry - the only way out was through a tunnel cut into the rocky mountainside, and flooded with cold water.

Wilson James has been proud to sponsor Dig Deeper every year since its inauguration in 2015. Over 10 years, we have helped to raise £500,000 for incredible causes and were honoured to receive a special award at this year’s event for our longstanding support.

Congratulations to Attehea Azam for receiving a Bronze Extra Mile Award, for responsibility. Here she is being presented her award by Gary Sullivan, Chairman and Tony Lenihan, Transport and Compliance Manager.

Our second congratulations goes to Vin Kundhi at Green Park for also receiving a Bronze Extra Mile Award. Vin was awarded for their continued contribution to Health and Safety in the workplace. Here he is receiving his award from Allison Dickin, Business Director

Our last congratulations goes to Levente Mihaly, Security officer at London Business School for being awarded a Spotlight Award for his support stepping up as a Team leader when required. Here he is being awarded by Karin Timothy, Regional Operations Manager.

Celebrating City Giving Day 2025 ❤️

Across the square mile, it’s been a busy day for Wilson James colleagues in support of The Lord Mayor’s Appeal.

Nick Channer OBE, Chief of Staff and Amy Dean, Director of Communications and Community Relations, started the day at Guildhall with The Rt Hon. the Lord Mayor Alastair King.

Next up, a determined team of Wilson James cyclists competed in Tour de City, an inter-company static Wattbike challenge at The Leadenhall Building. Investing incredible energy into the challenge, the team cycled an 18 miles in 40 minutes, to bring home the win!

Gerald Morgan, Head of Preconstruction Logistics & Group Commercial Proposals, and Ashley Bivens, Wellbeing Manager joined the City Walk, where participants took a lunchtime stroll through some of the byways of the city.

Congratulations to our Wattbike challenge team: Chris Sisson, Will Aldridge, Wojciech Ziezio, Darren Salmon, and Tom Giles.

Congratulations to the Wilson James team at 3CR Project in Royston for achieving 500,000 safe working hours. Jack Smith, WJ Operative, Leighton Ball, WJ Operative and Rhys Harrold, WJ Supervisor were recognised and awarded with a £100 voucher each by the project principal contractor at Fluor for their continual high standards and safe methods of working.

Well done to the team for their continued hard work and dedication, this is a fantastic achievement!

Yesterday, we welcomed the newest members of our Leadership Academy 2025/26 cohort as they officially kicked off their journey with an engaging Insights session.

The day was a great success filled with energy, collaboration, and meaningful discussion; a fantastic start that’s already laying strong foundations for the year ahead.

As the Leadership Academy continues to grow and evolve, we’re excited about the fresh opportunities and new developments this year will bring. We can’t wait to see the impact this incredible group will make.

Welcoming the 2025 cohort of apprentices at Heathrow 📚

This week our new 2025 cohort officially began the Wilson James bespoke Customer Service apprenticeship programme.

Based at Heathrow, the cohort will complete an apprenticeship tailored to our passenger assistance service, ensuring they develop the skills, knowledge, and behaviours needed for long-term success. Senior L&D Business Partner, Kate Patel spent the week getting to know the new team and welcoming them aboard. They’ve already shown huge potential, and we can’t wait to see the impact they’ll make as part of the WJ team.

We’re proud to work in partnership with the Heathrow Employment & Skills Academy and thank them for their support in launching this cohort.

We can’t wait to see what this talented group bring to the team. Welcome to Wilson James!
