On this Superhero Day, let’s talk about flexibility…
A lot of people assume yoga is all about being flexible…
like you need to be able to touch your toes before you even think about coming to a class.

I hear it all the time.
And I think sometimes people expect yoga teachers to be a bit like superheroes 🦸‍♀️
super bendy, super strong… basically Mrs Incredible 😅
But honestly… we’re not.
There are plenty of poses we can’t do.
We wobble, fall out of things, and sometimes just have to laugh and try again — just like everyone else.

That’s what yoga is about.

Yes, you can get more flexible over time — but you don’t need to start there, and you might never get there. And that’s ok.

It’s about starting with the basics, taking your time, and actually enjoying the process — wobbles, falls and all.
And doing it in a way that feels safe and supported.

You don’t need to be a superhero… you can do it.

My next class is on 29th April, 8.15pm at Kewstoke Village Hall — DM me to book your spot.

It’s National Wear Your Pajamas to Work Day in the USA… and as a yoga teacher, this feels very on brand 😄
These are actually kurta pyjamas — traditional, comfy, and very easy to move in.
But it does make a good point… you don’t need “proper” activewear to practise yoga.
No matching sets, no pressure to look a certain way —
just something you can stretch, breathe, and feel comfortable in.
If that happens to be your pyjamas… why not?

Would you come to a class in your pyjamas?

Breath of Joy ✨
A simple way to shift your energy in just a few minutes:
• Take 3 short, sharp inhales through the nose
• Move your arms as shown with each inhale
• Then exhale fully through the mouth as you fold forward (keep it soft, no strain)
• Roll back up and repeat for a few rounds
This is one of my go-tos when I need a quick reset.
Perfect if you’re feeling frazzled over the Easter holidays, about to head into an important meeting, or just stuck in that afternoon slump. It can help boost energy, clear your head, and even give you a little confidence lift.
A few things to keep in mind:
Avoid if you’re pregnant, have high blood pressure, glaucoma, experience dizziness, or have any injuries that make forward folding uncomfortable. If you have any medical conditions or injuries, it’s always best to check with your doctor and, where possible, work with a yoga teacher in person. Above all, listen to your body—if something doesn’t feel right, don’t do it.
A few breaths, a little shake-up, and who knows… you might just feel a bit lighter on the other side ✨
Save this for later and let me know if you try it

Hi, I thought it was time I reintroduced myself 🌿

I’m Suzannah, a yoga teacher based in Weston-super-Mare. When I’m not teaching, I work as an assistant in speech and language therapy and I’m also a mum of one—so I really understand how important it is to find moments to pause and reset.

I love sharing yoga in a way that feels realistic and supportive—whether that’s moving in a way that works for your body, or using simple practices you can take into everyday life.

Yoga has been such a grounding part of my own life, and I’m passionate about creating classes where you can feel comfortable, supported, and free to either challenge yourself or rest when you need.

If you’ve been curious about yoga, or looking for a space like this, I’d love to welcome you along sometime 💛

You can pop me a message to join my newsletter and be the first to hear about upcoming classes and events ✨
