Happy Mother’s Day to all the mums, step-mums and caregivers out there.
Today might look different for everyone. Some of you will be spoiled and celebrated, and some of you will carry on with the day as if it’s just another Sunday.
However it looks for you, I hope the people around you see all that you do and feel grateful for it.
You’re appreciated more than you probably hear. 💛
And know to all of you out there who have supported me, whether you've shared a post, attended an offering or cheered me on, thank you 🙏🏻

It’s World Sleep Day, so it feels like the perfect moment to talk about rest — the kind we often skip over.
In yoga, rest is built into the practice.
Not as an afterthought, but as an essential part of it.
Restorative yoga gives the body a chance to properly switch off. Supported postures, long holds and slow breathing help settle the nervous system, release tension and invite deep relaxation.
And then there’s Savasana — the final rest at the end of class.
It might look like “just lying down”, but it’s actually where the practice lands.
Your body absorbs the benefits of the movement, the nervous system settles, and the mind has space to soften.
It’s often the pose people want to skip…
and usually the one they need the most.
To celebrate World Sleep Day, I’ve recorded a free 10-minute guided Savasana you can use: • at the end of your own yoga practice
• before bed
• or anytime you need a proper pause
If you’d like the recording, send me your email address and I’ll add you to my newsletter and send the link over.
Because sometimes the most powerful thing you can do…
is rest.

I’m still trying to organise my space so I can make videos at home. Recently I’ve been doing some reorganising and decluttering, and my home office / sun room / home studio / crafting room had become a bit of a dumping ground.
Organise Your Home Office Day seemed like the perfect opportunity to get things back on track and tidy things up. It’s not perfect yet as I don’t have storage for my yoga teaching equipment, but the space feels so much lighter and freer now.
I already feel inspired to start writing my next offering.
Like and follow to find out what’s coming next.

It always feels easier on retreat.
My phone was out of reach for most of the day. When I did pick it up, it was a conscious choice rather than a habit. I had moments where I stepped away from everyone and everything and simply sat in the quiet.
Space like that is much harder to create in day-to-day life.
At home there are responsibilities, noise, and the constant pull of other people’s needs. But that’s where my yoga and meditation practice become so important. They’re the small ways I protect my energy in the middle of normal life.
When I’m on my mat at home, my husband knows to give me space unless something is truly essential. And I usually choose to practise after my daughter’s bedtime, because she’s still too young to understand those boundaries.
It’s not perfect. It’s not always peaceful.
But even a small pocket of quiet can make a big difference.
How do you protect your energy in everyday life? I'd love to hear what helps you create space.

A little glimpse of the retreat I’ve just come home from.

A few days of practice, quiet, good food and big conversations… the kind of space that’s hard to come by in normal life, especially when you’re a mum.

I chose to take this time away for myself, and honestly what better moment to do it than around International Women’s Day. A small but important reminder that we’re allowed to take up space in our own lives too.

Very grateful to have shared it with such a lovely group of women, and to be held so beautifully by at the magical setting of .

I'm still feeling all soft, supple and well rested. ✨

World Book Day felt like a good reason to finally pick from my TBR shelf.
Fiction to get lost in.
Non-fiction to stretch my thinking.
Yoga books to deepen my practice.
I love that moment when a story pulls you in and the world goes quiet. No scrolling. No noise. Just pages turning.
In yoga philosophy there’s svādhyāya — self-study. Books can be an important part of this.
Today I chose one and actually sat down to read it.
What’s on your shelf right now? 📚

Currently listening to Radiant Rest on Spotify — an episode with Anjali Rae exploring the often untold history of women in yoga.

As it’s Women’s History Month, it feels especially important to widen the lens.

The lineage isn’t just one story, told one way. There are women who practised, preserved and shaped this tradition — even if their names weren’t always centred.

Still learning. Still listening. Always a student. 🤍
If this speaks to you, it’s worth a search.

I just can't help myself when it comes to Vinted. So excited for my new toy to arrive.
What is it, you ask?
It's a yoga wheel. A yoga prop I hadn't been interested in until I got to try one at a yoga teacher training event. I was so impressed with how the backbends felt and loved the fluidity it gave.
I can't wait to have a play with it. Always experimenting, always learning.

I love stories and while I'm not the best story writer as it's national tell a fairy tale day today I thought I'd have some fun and write my own fairy tale.

Why not have a go yourself, it was fun. Let me know in the comments below if you do 😋

Script:
Once upon a time, beneath wide English skies, there lived a little girl with two worlds in her heart.
Her mother carried the soft green hills of England in her voice.
Her father carried the warmth and colour of India in his stories.
She grew up with cups of tea and the scent of spices,
with rainy afternoons and sun-soaked memories of faraway lands.
Though she lived in England, a part of her spirit always wandered east.
And whenever she visited India, something in her stirred —
a quiet pull she didn’t yet have words for,
as if a thread had been gently tugged from somewhere deep inside.
As the little girl grew, so did the quiet whisper within her.
A whisper that said, there is more of you to discover.
So she began to explore.
She stepped into heated rooms where the air shimmered.
She stood steady in careful, precise postures.
She moved and breathed and tried again.
Hot yoga.
Iyengar.
Ashtanga.
Restorative.
The years passed.
The whisper grew steadier.
And then, one day, she found something that felt like destiny —
Yoga Teacher Training.
It was not a castle or a crown that she found there,
but something far more powerful.
She found her prince.
Not a person —
but a practice.
Something she could return to.
Something that asked her to be brave.
Something that reminded her who she was.
The little girl who once held two worlds in her heart
had finally found the thread that wove them together.
And from that day on, she didn’t just practise yoga —
she shared it.
And she lived happily ever after.

Half term magic ✨
A little road trip with my girl.
Slow mornings.
Family time.
Trying on outfits just for fun.
A brilliant day at the science festival in Norwich.
So much laughter. So many little moments.
A proper break from the norm — I really needed it. 💛
Back to routine… but feeling full. If a little tired 😴

School holidays aren’t all about exhaustion — they’re a lot of fun too. And we definitely had a healthy dose of both.
Today I’m back at the day job. I’ve just wrapped up working from home and I’m about to head off for school pick up… and I’m on my third cup of tea ☕️
If you know me, you know that’s unusual. I’m normally a one-cup-a-day kind of person. Two at most.
Back to normality — and I’m definitely feeling it!
Tell me… how are you today?
One word or one emoji to describe your energy levels 👇

I’m just starting to plan and share a little of what I’m creating next and would love to stay in touch with anyone who’s curious.
If you’d like to be on my list for updates (nothing overwhelming, just gentle notes when I have something new), DM me your email — or follow along here to see what I’m up to.
No pressure at all, just a little space for connection and updates when the next thing is ready.
