🚑 Resuscitation Council UK has published new Resuscitation Guidelines
At the end of 2025 the Resuscitation Council UK released its new Resuscitation Guidelines, setting out the latest evidence-based best practice for resuscitation and emergency care across all ages and care settings in the UK.
The guidelines aim to improve survival outcomes, strengthen emergency care systems, and ensure consistent, high-quality training and practice nationwide.
Key updates include enhanced guidance on first aid and bystander response, updates to basic and advanced life support, stronger focus on ethics and end-of-life care, and revised recommendations for paediatric and newborn resuscitation. There is also a renewed emphasis on CPR education, public access defibrillators, and long-term support for survivors.
Now is the time for organisations to begin preparing for implementation, reviewing policies, training, and procedures to align with the 2025 Resuscitation Guidelines.
