We’re back (and we’ve grown!) 👣

I’m sorry we’ve been a little quiet lately! We’ve been busy onboarding the newest member of The Wetherby Clinic team. He’s a bit short on experience and spends most of his time napping on the job, but he’s settled in perfectly. 👶🏼

With our new little addition settled, I am so excited to announce that Cara is officially returning from maternity leave! We are also thrilled that Karly is staying with the team, meaning we have even more availability to see you.

🗓 Our Updated Schedule:

Cara: Available Wednesday mornings & Friday afternoons.

Karly: Continuing her usual Wednesday appointments.

We’ll be back to posting regularly and keeping you informed of the latest updates in the clinic and at CORE. We’ve missed you! 💙

End of an era! 🥂 Today we say a heartfelt goodbye to Adam as he officially retires.

Adam has been practicing since 1983, and his journey has taken him everywhere from private clinics to the NHS and the prison service. He has spent his life helping others move better and feel better—thousands of patients have been lucky to be in his care!

We know Adam won’t be sitting still for long; he’ll be trading his clinic office for the open water. ⛵️ Wishing you many fabulous sailing adventures and a very happy retirement, Adam! You’ve earned it.🥂💙

“When I was six months old, I was diagnosed with a heart condition called Dilated Cardiomyopathy. That meant exercise was limited for much of my life. Finding Pilates completely changed that. 🧐 Osteopathy vs. Physiotherapy: What’s the difference?
At The Wetherby Clinic, we get this question a lot! While both professions treat muscles, joints, and pain, their “vibe” and clinical approach can differ.

Here is a quick breakdown to help you choose:

🦴 Osteopathy

The Philosophy: Focuses on the “whole body” system. Osteopaths look at how the skeleton, muscles, nerves, and circulatory system work together.

The Treatment: Often involves more hands-on manual therapy, including stretching, massage, manipulation and rhythmic joint movements.

Best For: Generalised back pain, postural issues, and chronic tension where you want a holistic look at your body’s alignment.

🏃 Physiotherapy

The Philosophy: Focuses heavily on biomechanics, function, and movement. It is often very “rehab” oriented.

The Treatment: A mix of manual therapy and specific exercise programmes designed to restore strength and mobility after an injury or surgery.

Best For: Sports injuries, post-op recovery, and specific rehabilitation to get you back to peak physical performance.

Indian head massage coming in 2026! 💆‍♀️💆‍♂️

So excited to announce that I am training in Indian head massage! This will be available from March (exact date tbc).

This deeply relaxing treatment has many benefits both physiologically and emotional, including:

We have some bittersweet news to share today. Our wonderful Leona is relocating! While we are so sad to see her go, we are incredibly excited for her as she starts this new chapter.
