60 minutes of restorative yoga poses followed by a 15 minute Savasana with mini soundbath.
Restorative yoga is a deeply nourishing practice I do for myself once a week to restore energy and clarity in both my body and my mind. I love so much that I want to share it with you. I hope you will enjoy it as much as I do!
We will use props such as straps, blocks, blankets, bolsters, chair and the wall ropes to invite the body to soften and open.
It is a practice of longer held yoga poses of between 4-15 minutes. I find that by opening my chest and inverting my body there is a deeply calming effect on my mind.
Here I am showing a variation of Viparita Karani - commonly referred to as legs up the wall - but my sacrum is elevated and supported by the pelvic sling, my legs are raised and supported by the wall and my chest is open. The weighted sandbag on my feet encourages the thigh bones to descend into the pelvis creating stability.
Deliberately timed at 3pm on a Sunday to leave you rested and restored ready for the week ahead.
