Pre course e learning plus two days in the classroom they are now equipped to deliver ambulance sector specific conflict resolution training plus how to apply Aikido based non pain compliant disengagement skills. Feedback from participants being that the course content and training materials and Paul the trainer were “extremely effective” in assisting them to learn.

On completion they now have access to comprehensive training materials including several filmed scenarios for staff to risk assess. Additionally access to a film library of disengagement skills. The cost for UK employers alone is £56 billion (source Office for national statistics) this is a very worrying the trend is on the increase.
The updated First Aid at work regulations in 2024 now requires employers to consider Mental Health First Aid provision, so it’s now a legal requirement.

Having trained Mental Health First aider(s) / Champions in the workplace we can evidence that staff who are unwell are being spotted, and workers are more willing to approach a colleague rather than a faceless employee assistance programme.

We offer a two-day course that includes your people applying their new skills with a trained actor.

1 in 8 stroke patients are missed on the FAST test (Source NIHCE). Enhance your skills to avoid overlooking stroke patients. Practice by evaluating filmed scenarios and earn a certification endorsed by the UK Stroke Forum and University of Miami.

Debbie, a Stroke Clinical Nurse, shared her thoughts on our Advanced Stroke Life Support eLearning.

"I have recently completed the Advanced Stroke Life Support (ASLS) course, undertaking this course has been incredibly valuable to my role as a Stroke Nurse Specialist. The course has deepened my understanding of stroke assessment and reinforced evidence-based practices, it has also given me a more structured approach to emergency stroke management.
The online training and the scenarios will allow me to better anticipate and respond to acute stroke situations which will help improve patient outcomes.
Since completing the ASLS course, I feel more confident in my ability to help lead stroke care and provide critical care during the crucial stages of stroke intervention. It’s truly enhanced my ability to make a positive impact on patients’ lives.

In the months of June and July Solutions have received the largest ever orders for moving and handling kit for the U.K.s ambulance sector. Orders for 375 unique ambulance carry sheets, plus patient handling belts and transfer boards to avoid crews having to lift patients have also been ordered.

Learn all the theory of moving and handling by completing our online “People Moving People “course demo at www.solutionstraining.co.uk then meet via a webinar to be taught the practical task(s) for moving and handling the pupil(s) . Then be observed completing the task so competency can be verified, Ideal for training small groups of up to four techniques and extremely cost effective.

“We asked Solutions to assist us by providing training to a small group of our staff who required hoist training, most of which had not participated in this type of training before. We completed all the theory on how to move and handle pupils in a manner that is safe and dignified by completing the sector specific online People Moving People course which was hugely valuable and reduced the need for classroom training. We found that online training reduced our overall training costs and the need for contact training.
On completion of the course, the staff attended a short practical workshop to learn the practical skills of hoisting. On completion of the course, all that attended the training felt confident and competent on how to apply the skills learnt in a wide range of circumstances within their roles. We found this blended method of training greatly beneficial and cost effective.”
