🌟Helping Children Understand Their Emotions, Feelings & Nervous System 🌟
A fun, supportive space for kids to explore their brain, body and emotions — with science, movement and magic.
In our children’s sessions, we help kids understand what’s happening inside them when big feelings take over — using a beautiful, science-based approach called Polyvagal Theory.
Put simply, it teaches children that their brain and body are constantly trying to keep them safe — and when they feel anxious, angry, restless or shut down, it's their nervous system reacting, not bad behaviour.
💡 What Your Child Will Learn:
Through playful movement, rhythm, sensory discovery, and soothing rest, children will:
✔️ Learn how their nervous system works
✔️ Recognise what calm and overwhelm feel like in their body
✔️ Understand their personal triggers
✔️ Discover tools to feel safe, settled, and more in control
We’ll gently guide them through activities that help them feel the difference between stress and safety, while building a toolkit they can use anytime.
🌈 What’s Included:
🌀 Movement and rhythm (to regulate and release energy)
🌿 Sensory discovery (exploring what helps them feel calm)
🎧 Guided visualisation (using story and imagination to find inner safety)
🎵 A peaceful Soundbath with Tibetan singing bowls and soothing instruments (to relax and reset the nervous system)
These sessions are playful, creative, and trauma-informed — giving children real tools for emotional resilience, while having fun and feeling safe.
🧠 Why Polyvagal Theory?
Polyvagal Theory helps children understand:
🔹 Why they feel anxious or withdrawn sometimes
🔹 That those feelings are normal nervous system responses
🔹 How to return to calm and connection using their senses and breath
It shifts the focus from “what’s wrong” to “what’s going on inside” — helping children feel empowered, not ashamed, of their experiences.
