Nutritional Therapy may help an improved outlook on your long-term health …

• If you need a little extra support to get back to feeling good about yourself or improve your fitness.

• Should you feel your life is restricted due to daily symptoms such as tiredness, low mood, ongoing stress, impaired cognition, the toll of ageing, or joint pain.

• When you have been diagnosed with, or if you have been advised to take steps to reduce the risk of developing, conditions such as diabetes or hypertension.

• If discomfort linked to digestive concerns, including irritable bowel syndrome, remains persistent.

• When ongoing concerns affect the quality of your life, such as allergies, impaired skin health or immune health.

Now is a good time to get in touch with me if you would like to address any of these.
I look forward to sharing the wealth that nutrition know-how can bring to your life. Call Kathryn on 07798 812735

My four Healthy Ageing workshops over four weeks are for those who would like to learn ways to support their body and mind to retain youthfulness with age.
Nutritional Therapy is based on the idea that we address health concerns by looking at underlying or root causes of what's going on and help those bodily processes with dietary and nutritional adaptations as an holistic approach to health improvement. It is also to do with lifestyle choices, especially as we have a mind to influence the complexities of how our bodies work.
My workshops demonstrate how we can have some control over our future health and wellbeing.
I am passionate about the subject of healthy ageing and equally passionate about enjoying food, knowing that what I am eating is healthful rather than increasing the risk of premature ageing.
If you would like to find out more about my workshops, and how enjoyable it can be to take steps to gain improved health, please come along to Riverside Wellbeing in Whaley Bridge on Saturday between 10.00 am and midday. We would be very happy to see you there!

Recently I have been touched by several experiences of the death of loved ones. Deep feelings can take over at such times, rendering priorities unreal or non-existent. Very often the number one priority, yourself, is placed further down the list. Whilst treasuring happy moments to lock into your memory, remember that the person who has died would not want you to forget to take care of yourself. This is so truly important at such sad times.
There are many positive steps to take such as spending time outdoors, staying active and taking gentle exercise, seeking professional support such as counselling or keeping good company with friends.
And looking after your own wellbeing most definitely includes healthy eating.
Being able to confidently choose the right foods to support your own wellness is a handy knowledge kit to have. This is a gentle reminder to be mindful to stay on track and make your meals right for you, especially at more tender times.
If you are in any doubt about how to optimise your diet to support your health, I would recommend finding out more about nutritional therapy and then perhaps seeking advice from a registered nutritional therapy practitioner .lifestyle.medicine
I am such a registered nutritional therapy practitioner. I enjoy helping people discover how personalised nutrition advice can make positive differences to their lives. This is what I do, and in Whaley Bridge is where I do it.
If you would like to learn how to start your Nutritional Therapy with me, please get in touch kathryn.rogers@forkprovoking.co.uk I look forward to hearing from you.

Watercress soup - recipe by and ingredients from and bread by me. I’m forever faffing with the malted to get more variety in it. Malted bread is quite an English thing I think. Mine has been beefed up with organic dark rye along with their organic wholemeal, a dash of white and the malted flour plus barley flour plus finemalted flour plus cornmeal. The result is more complex, crunchy, chewy and I’m addicted

Glycans hold a lot of information on the state of our health. They can show us if there is any inflammation or early stages of disease before symptoms appear. In order to decode their messaging, you don’t need a bar code scanner, all it takes is 4 drops of blood. Find out more about our tests via the link in bio.

So many chats, feeds and posts about New Year resolutions? I know, … here’s another one!
Have you been swayed to make a dietary change? Whether for health reasons or for a conscience to do better for society or the planet, is the persuasion driven by the arrival of a new year and time to start afresh?
A helpful piece of advice about making such fresh start commitments is to be kind to yourself.
There are many health improvement ideas pushed to us in the form of smashing related words together with January. As we are all aware there are many diets to pick from, and many food/drink choices. However, did you know that there is likely no laid out generic diet that is just the right one for you?
Personalised dietary advice is probably the best option, and this would not be just for January.
A well-chosen diet is good for life, not just for New Year; though, yes, now is a good a time as any to start a fresh look at your nutrition. It’s so much part of you, everything you do, and everything you want to do.
I thoroughly enjoy helping people craft their dietary needs and discover an increased love of the right foods to support a happier life. If this sounds like a better approach for you, and you would like to get started, please get in touch with me to start on a Nutritional Therapy Programme that fits to your health goals.
