In the end we only ran the one Relaxation Works course last year as I had some family commitments later in the year. But it was a special one, particularly the assessment day which took place in May amid glorious weather.

So as 2025 comes to an end I am looking to put a 2026 date in the diary. Let me know if you are a yoga teacher or alternative health professional who would like to deepen your understanding of guided relaxation and Yoga Nidra. And spend a significant time practicing it too.

The course will run over a week-end with a follow up assessment day. Dates TBC

You can also book one of our cabins for the weekend Whitby Log Cabins. Valley View is particularly suited to two friends travelling together as we can split the beds. We are also add an additional bed to The Hideaway.

We will be running another Relaxation Works Course in November. While it is not a residential course as such, you are welcome to book our Valley View or Hideaway cabin, both of which can be configured with two beds. And why not add on some time to enjoy Whitby too.

The teachings of Ayurveda are central to our ethos at Wellness Works and the way we live here at our beautiful site on the edge of Whitby. We run small group Ayurveda Works sessions for anyone wanting to discover more about their individual mind body make up and how to live and eat in tune with the elements of nature. Our Relaxation Works weekend was amazing and we are so happy to have started five lovely people on their facilitator journey. But what if you just want to feel the benefits of a day of guided relaxation and Yoga Nidra (yogic sleep), without the training angle? We had so many requests for a Relaxation Day that we are looking to set a date. If you are interested in a day to rest and restore let us know.

The practices we will share work to calm the nervous system which will:

Release muscle tension

Reduce inflammation

Improve digestion

Help you sleep better

Improve energy levels

And break habit patterns with all the associated baggage.

It will be a day a rest with a little gentle movement and an opportunity to reconnect with nature in our gardens and woodland
