March has been a busy month! Not only have I been mega busy, but I've been on two courses (just in case I haven't mentioned them to you 😅)
First up, I headed off to Paris to take part in SFG1. A comprehensive, elite kettlebell qualification. It was a gruelling weekend, drilling and honing our skills with tests at the end, which I'm happy to say I passed!
A huge thank you to the following for getting me through it all!
✨️Ash who gave me the time, knowledge and confidence to get me through the cert!
✨️ , who made the weekend so much fun
✨️ Lise who expertly coached and interpreted us through the weekend
✨️ Martine who gave me so much amazing knowledge and confidence
1. Turkish Get Up - a classic kettlebell staple. How you get up and down off the floor is vital, especially as we grow older. Also, a great photo showing off my best muscle flex 😅
2. Preparing for the press - breathwork and full body tension were key for me to get the 12kg above head
3. Single Arm Swing - one of my most comfortable movements but loads of full body tension to stop any twisting, shoulder packed tight, power coming from the lower body
4. Double Kettlebell Press - not a requirement but part of the many group workouts we performed. I pushed myself with the double 12s here! Having so many epic atheletes around me really helped.
5. Sn**ch Test - perform 100 snatches with your required weight (12kg for me) in 5 mins. No mean feat! You can see the concentration on my face ( & in my hair... I know I'm not the neatest, but this is something else 😅) Not going to lie, I loved this bit!
6. My classic coaching stance... relaxed, proud... Also pretty in awe of smashing her way through the cert.
7. My celebration! This glass of wine was to thank and celebrate all those mentioned above!
