January. A tricky month! I've found it tough to find my groove so far in 2026 but I've taken some time this weekend to set out a plan!

Anyway, here's the January dump. Only a few pics but it's been sweet πŸ˜‹

1. My boy refusing to Parkrun so we took to the agility stage and had a photo shoot. Babe.
2. Headed off for a weekend of fun with my bro, sister in law and nephew. Snow days ❄️
3. Peanut. Snowdrops. My poor boyfriend playing photographer. I'll try give him a better model this year πŸ˜…
4. Waterfalls in Hampshire! Had to find some beauty in all this rain!
5. New Years Day parkrun with the little bro and our families. He sauntered past me with 800m to go claiming he was a negative split kind of guy πŸ˜€πŸ˜‚

Day 3 is get outside! A short 20 min run where you can have a chat. Slow, relaxed... Just get your body moving!
Then you can eat your chocolate!

Day 2 is all about Press ups. Perfect your hardest version, 1 press up every couple of hours, 5 in one day.

10 rounds - 5 minutes

1 Turkish Get Up every minute
10 rounds, 10 minutes

If you haven't got a kettlebell, don't worry, squats and dumb bells will work! Or wait until tomorrow for day 2 πŸ’ƒ

It's been 2 weeks since my course in Italy whereby I had to complete not 1 but 2 kettlebell courses PLUS the movements from both barbell and bodyweight which would take me to the prestigious Elite qualification that only approximately 20 personal training coaches hold in the UK.

The course has been an accumulation of 2 years intense training, alongside my own work, and I'm pleased to say I passed! πŸ‹οΈβ€β™€οΈπŸ₯³

The training provides, make me a better coach so my clients can lift heavier, in a safe manner and hit their goals. Meeting the standards, means I can walk the walk!

Key tests I had to complete included
πŸ’ͺ🏽 Kettlebell Military Press 1/3 my bodyweight
πŸ’ͺ🏽 Bent Press, a skill movement working on mobility and strength
πŸ’ͺ🏽 The 5 minute sn**ch test whereby I had to complete 100 sn**ches using a 12kg kettlebell
πŸ’ͺ🏽 The SFG1 and 2 kettlebell standard requirements
πŸ’ͺ🏽 1 rep of 1.5 times my bodyweight deadlift
πŸ’ͺ🏽 5 reps of half my bodyweight barbell military press
πŸ’ͺ🏽 1 arm press up
