Trust is a fundamental aspect of psychological wellbeing, shaping our relationships, self-perception, and emotional resilience. In equine-assisted therapy, we witness how trust—both its presence and absence—impacts mental health.

Trauma isn’t just about what happened to us — it’s also about how we relate to the pain and memories of what happened. From the lens of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), healing from psychological trauma begins with accepting our painful experiences instead of fighting them or shutting them out. 💔➡️💖

ACT teaches us to make space for our pain, acknowledge it, and allow it to be present — rather than getting stuck in a loop of avoidance or trying to change the unchangeable.
