What really works for backs;;

Using assessment to determine the position of spinal joints and pelvic joints.
Mobilization, stretching, HVT or MET of the problem joint in the opposite directions to those found in the assessment.

As all the nerves to muscles emerge from the spinal joints, work on the spine thus reduces nerve irritation; causing tight muscles to immediately reduce in tone and feel less painful. Muscles then change much quicker when massaged or inhibited with direct pressure techniques.
