February Birthday Recap🎂

As we begin celebrating our March birthdays, we wanted to take a moment to look back at the wonderful people who celebrated with us in February!

We kicked off the month on 3rd February by celebrating Dotty.

On 17th February, it was Norman’s turn to enjoy his special day.

The celebrations continued the very next day on 18th February with Kevin.

On 21st February, we marked a very special milestone as Jim celebrated his 80th birthday!🥳

Next up, Alan celebrated with us on 24th February.

We finished the month with a double celebration on 27th February for Tom and Reda!

It was a lovely month full of smiles, cake, and celebrations. We can’t wait to do it all again with our March birthdays!🎊

Hamper Winner!🎉

Last month, we were kindly gifted a beautiful hamper from Morrisons, and we raffled it off to raise funds for future experiences for the people of the home!

We’re delighted to announce that the lucky winner was the lovely Eve!

Thank you, Eve, for being such a valued part of The Rowans community, and a big thank you to everyone who took part and supported us. Your generosity helps us continue creating meaningful moments for our people🤍

Outstanding Party!🌟

On Friday, we proudly celebrated our Outstanding rating from our CQC inspection – and what a celebration it was!

The afternoon was filled with music, dancing, and plenty of laughter as our incredible team, the people of the home, and their wonderful families came together to mark this very special achievement. It was a true community celebration and a chance to reflect on the compassion, dedication and teamwork that make The Rowans such a special place to live and work.

A huge thank you to The Crafty Crookes for returning to provide such fantastic entertainment for the afternoon☺️

Each member of our fabulous team received a special keyring as a small token of appreciation. The colourful puzzle pieces, each carrying a positive message, to symbolise how every individual at The Rowans plays an important part.

Together, we create something truly outstanding🤍

Happy St David’s Day from all at The Rowans!

St David’s Day is a wonderful opportunity to come together, reflect on Welsh heritage and traditions, and spend quality time with one another.

Days like today remind us how important it is to celebrate culture, community and togetherness!

Quiz Afternoon!🧠

On Saturday, our team members, the people of the home and their families came together for our much-loved Rowans Quiz Afternoon – and what a fantastic time we had!

Working in teams, everyone put their heads together to tackle the questions, sparking plenty of friendly competition, great teamwork, and lots of laughter along the way!

It’s always a firm favourite on our activities calendar, and it’s easy to see why!
We’re already looking forward to the next one🤍

Generation Fitness Vist🏆

We’ve been loving our fortnightly visits from Chelsea at Generation Fitness!✨

The people of our home have so much fun taking part, staying active, and enjoying every session together. It’s wonderful to hear some of them say they’re already feeling stronger and looking forward to their workouts each week!

We can’t wait for our next visit!🙌🏻

Valentines Couples Meal🤍

While Valentine’s Day has come and gone, the celebrations continued here at The Rowans!

We recently held our annual Couples Valentine’s Meal, giving partners the chance to enjoy a special dining experience together.
It was a joy to witness the love, laughter, and meaningful moments shared throughout the afternoon.

A heartfelt thank you to our fantastic kitchen team for preparing such a wonderful meal and adding those extra special touches. We’re so incredibly grateful to all the team members who worked behind the scenes to make the event such a success!

Moments like these remind us how important it is to celebrate love, companionship, and togetherness🥰

Rowan Tree Planting🌳

As part of Sustainability Week, we came together to plant a beautiful Rowan tree in our garden — a truly special moment for everyone involved.

The Rowan tree holds a particularly meaningful place in our hearts. Not only does it share its name with our home, but it is also known as the “Tree of Life,” symbolising protection, strength, wisdom, and new beginnings. Traditionally planted near homes for good fortune, as has long been regarded as a sacred and protective tree.

What a perfect reflection of the warmth, resilience, and community spirit we see here every day☺️

This Rowan tree will stand as a lasting symbol of our commitment to sustainability, nurturing nature, and celebrating the roots that connect us all.

Valentine Day Party❤️

Love was truly in the air this Valentine’s Day last weekend, as we came together as one big family to celebrate!

Our home was filled with music, laughter, and plenty of smiling faces as everyone enjoyed a wonderful afternoon of entertainment.
A huge thank you to Becky B Music for her fantastic performance and for keeping us all singing along and thoroughly entertained.

What a beautiful way to spend a day dedicated to love, friendship, and togetherness💖

From colourful decorations to handmade keepsakes, every piece has been made with care and plenty of smiles along the way.

It’s been wonderful to see everyone enjoying the activities, sharing laughter, and spreading a little extra love around the home☺️
