The Rowans Summer Fayre 2026☀️

Join us at The Rowans Care Home when we round off Care Home Open Week with our fun-filled Summer Fayre!

Taking place on Saturday 20th June from 2pm, our fayre will be packed with fantastic stalls, entertainment, tasty treats, and an exciting tombola — with something for everyone to enjoy.

Bring your friends and family along and help us celebrate the wonderful community at The Rowans💛

We’ll also be raising money for the people living in our home, helping us continue to create special experiences and activities, your support means so much!

We can’t wait to welcome you for an afternoon full of fun, laughter, and community spirit☺️

April Birthday Recap🎉

As we kick off our May celebrations, here’s a look back at all the wonderful birthdays we shared in April:

Starting off the month, we had David’s birthday on the 11th!

Then second to celebrate, on the 17th, was Richard!

On the 25th, John celebrated his birthday with us!

The 28th saw us celebrating Bill’s birthday with him!

The celebrations didn’t stop there—on the 29th, we had the joy of honoring a truly special milestone: Helen’s 50th birthday!🎂

And to round off an amazing month, we celebrated Frank on the 30th.

April was full of great moments, laughter, and celebration—we can’t wait to do it all again in May🎈

April Ball Celebrations🎉

We closed out April in style with an afternoon of joy, connection and celebration!

The people of the home, their families and our team had a fantastic afternoon, enjoying live music from Steven Flynn, who once again captivated everyone and brought the room to life🎶

St George’s Day🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿

We had a wonderful time at The Rowans on Thursday, coming together to celebrate St George’s Day!

The day was filled with laughter and friendly competition as the people of the home took part in mini quizzes and enjoyed each other’s company.

We also took a trip down memory lane with our “Best of British” memorabilia packs, sparking meaningful conversations and connecting with our English heritage on this special day.

A truly heartwarming day full of smiles, stories, and togetherness!🤍

National Tea Day🫖

We marked National Tea Day on the 21st April with a wonderful tea tasting afternoon!

Everyone who took part had the chance to try a range of different flavours and vote for the ones they enjoyed most☺️

It was a lovely afternoon, full of smiles, conversation, and of course, plenty of tea!

Quiz Time🧠

The weekend saw the return of one of our all-time favourites, the much-loved Rowans Quiz!

Everyone came together in their teams, ready to put their knowledge to the test and enjoy an afternoon full of laughter, teamwork, and a touch of friendly competition.

A big thank you to our amazing team for getting involved and supporting the fun, as always – it truly makes all the difference.

And a huge well done to The Tweety Pies, who claimed the top spot and are now our reigning champions!🏆

Generation Fitness Visit🏆

We had another fantastic session last week with Chelsea from Generation Fitness!

It’s been great to see new people joining each week and giving it a go, the class is really growing. Friendships are forming naturally, and a bit of friendly competition is starting to bring even more energy to the sessions☺️

Everyone is enjoying staying active in fun and engaging ways, with plenty of smiles and encouragement all around.

Thanks again to Chelsea — we’re already looking forward to the next visit🤍

Sing Along Afternoon🎶

We were delighted to welcome Phillip Maher for a lovely acoustic guitar performance that truly lifted everyone’s spirits. The people of the home, their families and our team joined in, singing along to some much-loved tunes, creating a warm and joyful atmosphere throughout the home.

It was a relaxing and heartwarming singalong filled with smiles, music, and togetherness — moments like these are what make our community so special!

World Theatre Day💃

This year, World Theatre Day fell on the last Friday of the month – the perfect way to round off March with a bang!

We were delighted to welcome back the lovely Bekky B-Music, who brought such fantastic energy and entertainment to our home once again.

The afternoon was filled with laughter, great company, and plenty of dancing☺️

A huge thank you to our amazing team for all their support and for joining in on the fun, as always!

And of course, thank you to Bekky for another fabulous performance – we can’t wait to welcome you back again soon🎶

Last week brought another fantastic session with Chelsea from Generation Fitness!

Everyone in the home who takes part has really been enjoying the chance to stay active in fun and varied ways. The session was filled with energy, laughter, and plenty of encouragement, with smiles all around.

Easter Sunday at The Rowans!🐰

What a wonderful day we had celebrating Easter together! Our home was filled with smiles, laughter, and plenty of chocolatey treats.

A special highlight was a visit from the Easter Bunny, who made sure everyone received a delicious egg and stopped for lots of lovely photos along the way!

The people of the home, their families, and our team all had a wonderful time capturing special moments with our Easter props and enjoying each other’s company — making it a truly heartwarming day for everyone.

A huge thank you to our incredible team for going above and beyond, as always, to make the day so meaningful and special for everyone🤍
