When we are stressed our cortisol levels rise, having a massage naturally increases our serotonin and dopamine ( the happy chemicals) in our brains. 🧠
A relaxing massage also stimulates the parasympathetic nervous system that naturally triggers a relaxation response which then lowers heart rate, BP and muscle tension.
This process helps to relieve symptoms of anxiety, depression and chronic stress. With 15years of experience working within mental health in previous employment I offer a safe space to process emotions that may be released through massage 🫶🏻
