🧬 PRP is derived from your own blood. It’s a concentrated solution of platelets, growth factors, and other bioactive proteins that play a role in tissue repair and regeneration. PRP is rich in cytokines and various proteins that promote healing, but it doesn’t contain RNA or the full range of molecular signals found in exosomes.
🌱Exosomes are small vesicles released by cells (including stem cells). They contain a broader range of bioactive molecules, including proteins, lipids, and RNA (like microRNA), which allow them to communicate between cells more effectively. Exosomes carry a wider variety of signaling molecules that can target specific cells, promote regeneration, and modulate inflammation or immunity.
🙏🏼 PRP and exosomes work well with microneedling to promote healing and regeneration, exosomes offer a broader and more precise range of cellular signaling, potentially providing enhanced outcomes compared to PRP.
