I love it when memories come up on FB. It’s inspired my post for today.

August 2021…and now August 2025.

In 2021 I was in Spain staying with my friends and this year I was in London spending the day with my daughter.

I didn’t bite the bullet 4 years ago, even though I was very aware I wasn’t comfortable with my weight. Floaty clothes saved the day back then!

My lightbulb 💡 moment happened in December 2023 and 8 months later I’d dropped the unwanted lbs.

And they are still off. And will remain off.

At 62, it just goes to show that it’s never too late to take action.

LOVED these meals two of my clients had for dinner last night.

Ham, egg and chips had me salivating!
It’s one of my guilty pleasures!

Butternut squash is SO versatile and makes great chips!

Then salmon on cauliflower rice with colourful veggies and a sauce made from fat free yoghurt, lemon and dill.

Does this look like ‘diet food’ to you?
Boring, bland and portion restricted?

That’s because 6 for Success is NOT a diet!
Never has been, never will be.

But it IS a super successful healthy eating programme.

The results speak for themselves.

An average loss of 19 lbs in 6 weeks.

How are you doing on this beautiful Monday?

I’m full of gratitude today.

So grateful for all the little things that make life marvellous. The glimmers.

Not least, a beautiful walk this morning and some tree 🌳 love. 💚💚💚

It’s so easy to look at what’s going wrong, rather than what’s going right, isn’t it?

A bit like how we approach losing weight.

We tend to obsess about what we can’t/shouldn’t eat.
Rather than focusing on all the beautiful, abundant food that we can eat.

We stress about reducing portion size, weighing and measuring everything…basically depriving ourselves.

We don’t have to eat tiny portions, take drugs to suppress our appetite, replace real food with shakes or supplements.

None of that is necessary. Trust me.

In the middle of June I came up with the idea of offering people the opportunity to ‘Try before you buy in July’.

An opportunity to work with me for 7 days for only £77. A chance to test me out, to see if they liked the full on support and accountability and delicious food.

No obligation to continue after the week trial, but if they wanted to then they could continue with the remaining 5 weeks of the programme.

This is what happened:

9 people reached out.

8 went ahead. One person decided to go for the full 6 weeks without trying it first because she was so inspired. She starts next week.

Of the 8 people who went ahead, 5 have now transferred on to the full programme.

This is what they lost:

9.8 lbs
8.1 lbs
8 lbs
7.5 lbs
7.1 lbs
7 lbs
6.8 lbs
6 lbs

The 3 people who haven’t transferred onto the full programme were so delighted with what they lost, what they had learnt during those 7 days, that they are going to go it alone and see how they get on. And know that at any time they can come back and complete the final 5 weeks.

The overriding feedback from all of these wonderful women was that they couldn’t believe how easy it was! And how successful they had been.

Most of these people had been struggling for years to see any difference on the scales. And at least half of them were considering weight loss medication.

I’ll be offering this again at some stage. If you’re interested, were sitting on the fence about going ahead, maybe grab the opportunity next time?

I’m planning my next Walk and Talk with Yve.🤩

We’ll be doing the Long Walk in Windsor again.

I’m mindful that it’s the school holidays so was thinking of an early bird walk for this next one.

Meeting at the castle gates at 7.15am, walking to the Copper Horse at the top of the Long walk, and back.

It should take 1.5 hours max…with a few breaks for photos!

Last Thursday one of my oldest friends came to visit from Leeds.

And the friend that ‘tested’ me working remotely with clients back in 2018. I have a lot to thank Mary for.

We were at school together and also part of an amazing theatre group where we met some fantastic people that are still connected. It was a mini reunion and such a great couple of days.

Did we eat and drink the 6 for Success way?

That’ll be a big fat NO! 🖐️❌

I wasn’t the best example, trust me! 😅

Mary was a bit worried when she got back to Leeds on Saturday that she’d gained 1.5 kgs. I reassured her that this was NOT fat gain and she’d lose it within a few days being back on the regime.

And today, 5 days later, she’s down 2 kgs!

And I really, REALLY, loved telling her “I told you so!”

It’s what we do the majority of the time that matters, not going off piste for a few days.

My clients love the fact that they have a toolbox of tried and tested methods that are easy to access and successful.

Real food, for real people who want to live their best lives.

How do you break YOUR fast?

If it’s with a milky coffee and a croissant then you’ve set the tone for the day. And not in a good way!

Eating a protein rich and colourful brunch is the way forward to ensure you keep your blood sugars stable and ensure you aren’t STARVING a couple of hours later.

Why not try it and see the difference it makes?
