Thimbleby Court had a wonderful Around the World Afternoon, celebrating cultures from across the globe! Residents enjoyed learning about different countries while tasting a delicious selection of traditional foods inspired by cuisines from around the world.

From familiar favourites to exciting new flavours, it was a lovely way to spark memories, conversations, and smiles. The afternoon was filled with laughter, curiosity, and a shared love of food and culture.

🐶💖 Puppy love at Glenholme Wendreth Court! 💖🐶
Residents enjoyed a truly fun and heart-warming afternoon with Darcy, a gorgeous 12-week-old cocker spaniel puppy 🐾✨

Everyone loved stroking, cuddling, and playing with Darcy, and it was wonderful to see faces light up with so much love and so many smiles 😄❤️
As Darcy belongs to one of the staff members, everyone is very much looking forward to watching her grow and welcoming many more visits in the future 🐕💕

🎶🪕 A wonderful musical afternoon at Glenholme Wendreth Court! 🪕🎶
Residents were delighted to enjoy fantastic musical entertainment from Sean Moyses – “The Banjo Man” 🎤✨

With songs from the 40s, 50s, 60s and 70s, it brought back lovely memories and had everyone smiling, singing along and clapping to the rhythm 😄👏🎵

It was such a joyful, uplifting time for all who attended ❤️

Last week, residents at Vera James House explored poignant places on the large road map that had been lent by a family member. They really enjoyed trying to find places that were familiar to them, from Dunfermline in Scotland all the way down to Bath in the West Country, and reminisced about times spent in these locations. 🗺️✨

Residents at Vera James House planted some Cress seeds on the 9th February, and today they enjoyed making egg and cress sandwiches for their afternoon snack. The residents did a fabulous job taking care of the seeds, keeping an eye on them to make sure they stayed moist enough, and watching them grow over a short time.
It really worked their fine motor skills as there seemed to be an endless supply of eggs for them to peel today! 😊 Once the sandwiches were ready, they shared them with all the residents in the home, and everyone said they were nice and tasty. 😋💙
