Today, staff at East Durham Medical Group proudly wore green in support of “Wear It Green Day” for Mental Health Awareness Week 💚

By taking part, we’re helping raise awareness of the importance of mental health and showing support for everyone affected by mental health challenges. Small conversations and acts of support can make a big difference.

This year’s Mental Health Awareness Week takes place from 11–17 May 2026, and we’re proud to stand alongside the Mental Health Foundation in promoting kindness, understanding, and wellbeing in our community.

Today, we’re celebrating National Receptionist Day and recognising the fantastic work of our reception and secretarial team here at East Durham Medical Group 💙

Our reception staff are often the very first people patients speak to or see when contacting the practice. Every day, they work incredibly hard to support, reassure, and help our patients with kindness and professionalism.

Their role can be challenging at times, and the hard work they do behind the scenes is not always recognised. Despite this, they continue to show patience, compassion, and dedication in everything they do.

We are extremely proud of our reception and secretarial team and truly appreciate the care and commitment they bring to the practice each day. They are an essential part of East Durham Medical Group, and we are so grateful for everything they do.
